Meowtel Premium Insurance typically covers the following for eligible reservations:
- Illness, injury, death, theft, or mysterious disappearance of any cat listed on the reservation
- Damage to the client’s home or belongings
- Verified sitter-related incidents that occur while the cat is in your care, custody, or control

No. Meowtel Premium Insurance is automatically included with every eligible reservation booked and paid for through Meowtel. As long as each visit is priced at $20 or more after any sitter discounts or promotional coupons, coverage is provided at no cost to you.
However, if an incident leads to an approved claim, a $500 deductible will apply. This deductible is the sitter’s responsibility. For smaller issues under $500, Meowtel may offer Small Claim Assistance instead, which helps resolve the matter without triggering a formal claim or requiring a deductible.

Yes. If something goes wrong during a reservation, you should report the incident by calling 1-844-MEOWTEL or emailing [email protected]. We’ll review the situation to determine whether it qualifies for Meowtel Premium Insurance coverage.
To be considered, the incident must be reported during the reservation or within 72 hours of its completion.
If a claim is approved, you will be responsible for the $500 deductible. For smaller issues under $500, Meowtel may offer Small Claim Assistance to help resolve the matter more quickly without triggering a formal claim.
If a client files an insurance claim related to your reservation, Meowtel will review the situation to determine whether it qualifies for Meowtel Premium Insurance coverage. If the claim is approved, you will be responsible for the $500 deductible, depending on the nature of the incident and the outcome of our review.
All claims are handled on a case-by-case basis. In some cases, policy violations or confirmed negligence may result in account suspension or permanent deactivation. Meowtel will always work closely with you to understand what happened and determine the appropriate next steps.
Meowtel provides liability coverage through Meowtel Premium Insurance for all reservations that qualify for the Meowtel Promise. To qualify, each visit must be booked and paid for on Meowtel at a rate of $20 or more after any sitter discounts or promotional coupons.
This coverage includes protection for:
- Property damage at the client’s home
- Injury, illness, or loss involving the cat(s) on the reservation
- Other sitter-related incidents during the reservation, when sitter negligence is verified and supported by evidence
Please note: Meowtel Premium Insurance does not cover sitter business expenses. This includes parking tickets, parking fees, towing costs, lockout charges, medical expenses or copays, or any incidental costs incurred by the sitter while performing a reservation.
