Meowtel sitters do not have to pay to be covered by our insurance; this benefit is included for every reservation booked and paid for on Meowtel at a rate of $20 or above per visit, inclusive of sitter discounts and holiday surcharges.

Yes! You can report an incident for a claim if a listed cat damages your property by calling us at 1-844-MEOWTEL or sending an email to [email protected].
To be considered, the incident needs to be reported during the reservation or within 72 hours of the reservation's completion. For more information on our insurance terms, please click here.
Yes. The incident must be reported during the reservation or within 72 hours of its end date. Contacting us after this time period will result in very limited assistance. If you are prolonging an issue to attempt and insurance claim, your Meowtel account will be deactivated.
When a Meowtel Insurance claim is made, sitters do not have to pay for damages. Actions are taken on a case by case basis but could result in the suspension or permanent deactivation of your account. Meowtel will work closely with you to decide our course of action. For more information on our insurance, click here.
As a Meowtel cat sitter, you will automatically be covered by our insurance. You can read more about our insurance and what is covered here.
In order for your client and their cat(s) to be covered, all of the following conditions must be met:
- Vet Release Form and My Cats section are correctly and fully completed on Meowtel.
- All cats are listed in My Cats and are also accurately listed on the reservation. Being a cat-centric platform, Meowtel can only guarantee that our sitters are qualified to work with cats; therefore, we do not insure pets other than cats.
- The reservation is confirmed and paid for through Meowtel.
Note: An incident that may be eligible for an insurance claim or our service guarantee must be reported during the reservation or within 72 hours of the reservation's completion, and all supporting documentation for an insurance claim must be provided within 30 days from the date the incident is reported.
Meowtel provides liability insurance for reservations with visits over $20. This coverage includes protection for property damage and pet injuries caused by a sitter's actions or negligence during a reservation, subject to evidence satisfactory to Meowtel.
