• Weekends: All day Saturday, after 12:00 PM Sunday
• Holidays: All day availability during federal, state, and some school holidays
Note about morning/afternoon visits: I may be able to accommodate these times if:
• You’re within a half-mile radius of my home (Crown Heights) or job (Downtown Brooklyn)
• The booking is on a weekend or during a holiday.
First-Time Clients & Special Needs 💊💉:
If you are a first-time client and/or your fur baby requires medication and I have not administered it to them before, we must schedule an in-person Meet and Greet before your reservation. This ensures everyone feels comfortable and confident, because your cat’s safety and happiness are my top priorities! ❤️

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
I've cat sat for more than three years with friends' cats + over a year with Meowtel. I have experience administering oral medications and am also open to learning how to do other types of medication.
What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
I just love being around cats in general, whether they want to be cuddled up with me or watch me from a safe distance.
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I currently have a gray furbaby named Carlton! He's such a joy and I love him so much. I also used to co-pawrent my kitten name Grace. She ended up staying with her other pawrents when we all moved (my new roommates at the time didn't allow pets), but still visit and cat sit her to this day.
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
I make sure to follow all instructions stated by the client. I also ask questions about their cat's habits, including where they are and are not allowed to be (e.g. Does the cat have a habit of running outside as soon as you open the door? Is the cat not allowed in certain rooms?). This ensures that cats are being kept safe and that I have enough information to lookout for potential dangers.
Are you usually available during holidays?
As a NYC Public Schools employee, I have most of the local, state, and federal holidays and school breaks off!
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I take my time with timid/anxious cats so that they can gain my trust. One technique is to stay nearby to the food bowl after filling it and see if they will allow me to pet them while eating so they can associate food and comfort with me. Otherwise, I let cats come to me at their own pace and never force an interaction. Whether that takes one visit or the entire reservation, I'm patient enough!

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.
If it doesn't feel like a purrfect fit after a Meet & Greet or during a reservation, our support team is here to help at 1-844-Meowtel (1-844-636-9835). We'll take time to understand what happened and help you consider next steps, which could include help with a new reservation.
Brooklyn cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $30.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.
We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.

Dena is a wonderful cat-sitter and I am so glad we found her! Her communication is excellent and we loved the photos she sent us after each visit. Our two cats are very social and it can be hard on them when we’re away on a trip, but Dena took the time to hang out with them and make sure they got lots of attention.
