I have two cats named Frida and Paloma that I adopted from the Animal Care Center in NYC... As a former zookeeper, I started my animal care career volunteering at a wildlife sanctuary where I cared for big cats. The most fascinating thing I have experienced is that all cats, regardless of size, have so many similar mannerisms. In my time as a zookeeper, I have worked with tigers, lions, cougars, leopards, snow leopards, servals and bobcats. The main part of the job included feeding, watering and cleaning up after the cats. Some of the more interesting parts of the job were training, enrichment, and being a part of big cat surgeries.
I have two cats named Frida and Paloma that I adopted from the Animal Care Center in NYC. Frida is an energetic cat that we adopted as a kitten. She loves to fetch springs and jump into the air to try and catch string toys. Paloma was six years old when we adopted her. She loves to sleep most of the day and will fight for the best napping spots in our apartment.
During my time as a zookeeper, I have been involved in medical procedures, surgical procedures, and cared for animals post-operation. Additionally, I have a great deal of experience administering medications. I have given oral medication to bats, rhinos, tigers, lemurs, and aardvarks. I have applied topical ointments to bats, tigers, and bears. I have given eye drops to bats and lemurs. Although I have not given any cat injections, I have given injections to bats.

We just left Paty with our two boys for 2.5 weeks, by far the longest we’ve been away from them. Obviously we were a little stressed, and Paty did an amazing job making us feel comfortable that they were being well taken care of. Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Brooklyn cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $30.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.

Pati was so incredible! She truly went above and beyond and our kitties absolutely loved her. She delivered medication to our asthmatic cat 2x every day via inhaler and updated us each time so we knew he was doing well. She sent wonderful pics, videos, and updates and we could tell the cats had a blast playing with her. Her passion for animals truly shines through and my husband, sister, and I can’t reccomend her enough :))

The absolute best of the best! I don’t know where to start! She took the best care of my 2 cats. Phil had last minute conjunctivitis and she wasn’t upset at all with the additional medication she now needed to provide. She sent me thorough updates 2 times a day with tons of pics and videos. I knew they were in good hands and the pics made my day while I was away and missing my fury kids. Will be using her again and I can’t recommend her enough!

Patricia was amazing with my two cats! I needed a sitter at the last minute and she was very accommodating. when my flight was canceled she even made time to come the next day. Patricia did a fantastic job with my two cats especially through a difficult situation. One of my cat’s had diarrhea and was shy, and both were very picky eaters.
