What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
I truly enjoy meeting and bonding with all kinds of cats. Building connections and earning their trust is very important to me. My favorite part of cat sitting is simply providing love and care to a kitty while its owners are away. It is super rewarding to know that I am helping keep cats happy, stress-free, and safe. Additionally, I love giving peace of mind to cat parents as well as bonding with them through updates.
Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?
I truly do enjoy every reservation I’ve had. I genuinely love the cats I sit and the clients are always so kind and communicative. However, I have especially enjoyed my longer reservations (1 week or more). I feel like I get to bond with the cats even more, and get to know their unique quirks and personalities super well.
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
Yes! I have two cats, one is a 7-year-old named Tony, and one is a 15-year-old named Cookie. Cookie is diabetic, on insulin, and on a special diet. Tony is a bit more independent and likes to do his own thing and get cuddles when he wants them. Cookie is a mush and loves attention and being held.
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
I always begin by introducing myself through the app and setting up a meet-and-greet. During the meet-and-greet, I let the client walk me through their cat’s routine, personality, and any preferences they may have. I take detailed notes to make sure I don’t miss a single thing and that everything is followed exactly as requested. After hearing the full routine, I ask any additional questions that may be helpful, such as feeding details, litter preferences, which supplies to use (like sponges for bowls), and any relevant medical history or past concerns. Once the meet-and-greet is complete, I am always available through the app for any follow-up questions or extra information. The night before the reservation begins, I always send a confirmation message to confirm and ensure everything is clear and stress-free.
Are you usually available during holidays?
Yes! As a Brooklyn Native, I am pretty much always around. I am able to see your kitties and then go to holiday celebrations as well.

Nicole is a fantastic cat sitter!! It's clear from the numerous photos she sent me that my cats had such a great time with her and received lots of affection. Nicole was also extremely flexible and considerate when I had travel issues and was willing to work with me and endure harsh weather conditions to ensure my cats were taken care of. She was also detail orientated when figuring out the routine during our meet and greet.

My cat became ill shortly before a trip and I needed to find a sitter who was comfortable with medication administration and could stay overnight. Nicole was able to help on short notice and took excellent care of my two cats. She was able to work with my cat that needed meds, making sure he was safe and comfortable and provided really detailed check in’s so I had peace of mind while away.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Brooklyn cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $30.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
