I know how important it is for... Hi! I’m a NYC-based cat sitter and lifelong cat lover who truly understands how special (and sensitive) cats can be. I’ve had cats my entire life, including caring for a cat with diabetes, so I’m very comfortable with medications, routines, and close observation. I currently have three cats of my own, and I treat every cat I sit for with the same patience, respect, and care.
I know how important it is for cats to feel safe in their own environment, especially in a busy city like New York. I take the time to learn each cat’s personality, habits, and preferences, and I never force interaction. Whether your cat is cuddly, independent, or shy, I focus on creating a calm, familiar experience during each visit. I also provide thoughtful updates and photos so you can feel confident and at ease while you’re away.

I have three kitties of my own, Simba, Snoopy and Asta. They are the cutest and sweetest members of our family!
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
When working with a new cat parent, I like to start with a conversation to learn about their cat’s personality, routine, and any special needs. If possible, I’m happy to do a meet-and-greet so both you and your cat feel comfortable. I follow care instructions closely, keep visits calm and consistent, and always provide updates and photos so you know how things are going. My goal is to make the process easy, transparent, and stress-free for both you and your cat.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I always let timid or anxious cats set the pace. I never force interaction and focus on maintaining their routine so things feel as familiar as possible. I move slowly, speak softly, and pay close attention to body language. Sometimes that means quietly sitting nearby, refreshing food and water, or offering gentle play if they’re receptive. My goal is to help cats feel safe and respected in their own space, even if that means limited interaction at first.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Brooklyn cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $30.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
