What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

I have been a cat sitter on and off since 2018 in Seattle, Atlanta, Dallas, and New York City. What started off as lending a helping hand to some friends, ended up becoming a love for cats! I have experience with cats from a wide range of ages, personalities, and routines. And I am quick to learn any particular routine or care needed for your pet.

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

I have two cats: Biscuit (6 years old) and Bao (4 years old). They were both strays that I cared for since they were both 6 weeks old. Biscuit had MANY health problems as a kitten (fleas, worms, malnourished, heart issues...), and that taught me so much about cat care. Don't worry, Biscuit's now a very happy (and chonky) little man!

What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?

I love supporting new cat parents! It's such an exciting time learning how to care for a new cat, and my priority is making it a safe space to transparently discuss any questions or concerns. I will also never judge, because I also had a ton of questions when I was a new cat parent.

We were very thankful to have Amber help take care of our two cats while we were away! She was communicative, especially when our power went out which affected elevator access to our unit. We were grateful she took all measures to contact us, reach out to an emergency contact, and immediately go back to our apartment the next morning to ensure our kitties were fed. Frequently Asked Questions

Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.

All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.

Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.
