Cat Sitting in Austin, TX
I have lived in Austin for about 3 years and work in tech sales. During my time here I have watched many cats as well as adopted two of my own. However, my love of cats started many years ago with a sweet neighborhood cat, Wookiee. The day she started running up to me when I got home from school was the day I became a self declared cat person.
It was in Austin when I adopted my two cats, Lemon and Barty. This only expanded my cat person title. These little cats (the two in my profile picture) were special in so many ways and I adopted them knowing they had FeLV. Unfortunately, because of this diagnosis, they both passed away earlier this year... My name is Anna and I am so excited to meet your sweet kitties. I know leaving our pets can be stressful and I am here to give you peace of mind and care for your cats as if they were my own.

While this was extremely heartbreaking it also allowed me to learn a level of care that I otherwise would not have gotten to experience. It is care I intend to give to every cat in the future.
I learned how to give oral medication, eye drops, pills, and more. Most importantly though it gave me a true passion for giving cats the absolute best experience possible while they are here are on earth. I understand that cats' personalities will vary greatly and I am ready to come into your home with patience and meet them exactly where they are comfortable.
I have prior experience with cat and house sitting and will make sure litter boxes are always clean, water and food are fresh, and everyone is purring and happy whether it be because of pets, playtime, snacks, or simply hanging out calmly across the room from each other.
My schedule is flexible and allows a range of visit times and days. I'm based in Central Austin and willing to drive around the city. I'd love to schedule meet and greets but also understand life happens and sometimes a same day visit is necessary.

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
I think meeting new cats (and people) is such a fun part of cat sitting. Cats have such varied personalities and getting to understand each one is such a satisfying experience. The first time a shy cat walks up to you and says hello, is such an unbeatable feeling!
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I had two cats, Lemon and Barty. They both had Feline Leukemia and sadly passed away earlier this year due to their illness. They were the absolute best (although that may be a bit biased)! Lemon was a very pretty goofball and Barty was the tough guy of the house. I say tough guy loosely because that guy loved cuddles and being held. I hope to adopt another cat soon and make sure that they know all about their sweet brother and sister!
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
First of all, very clear communication with the owners! Knowing that in's and out's of the home is extremely important. Also, making sure the house is locked up and left exactly how it was found upon leaving. The cats must always be left with fresh water, enough food, and clean litter. Gotta make sure they are comfortable until the next visit!
What is your favorite cat toy?
The little colorful springs! I have never seen cats be so passionate about a toy

We were away for three weeks and couldn’t have left Mars in better hands. Anna came every single day without fail — so reliable and consistent. You could tell she genuinely cared: attentive to his needs, sweet with him, and always made sure he was comfortable and happy. We came home to a very content cat, which says it all. We’ll absolutely be choosing Anna again!

Anna was absolutely awesome! She took some of the best photos of my Leroy ever - including one with his tongue out that I will forever treasure. He can sometimes be grumpy and shy but she got him to play and even went as far as bringing him some fresh catnip leaves from the plant we have outside. She was beyond thoughtful and thorough!

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.

- January 16-22: MLK Day
- February 13-19: Presidents Day
- May 22-28: Memorial Day
- June 16-22: Juneteenth

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Austin cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $26.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.
We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.

Anna was awesome during arranging the Meet and Greet, and during the Meet & Greet she spoke softly and made herself small, definitely a cat person, my cat rubbed her legs and let her pet him immediately. She was taking notes, asking questions, and being super respectful of the house and most importantly the cat. During the reservation/stay I had last minute travel changes and Anna was super flexible. My usually charming and polite cat had a pretty weird hissing reaction when Anna tried to go to different areas of the house but she was so patient! She alerted me immediately since it was strange behavior (I would’ve definitely warned a sitter if I knew my cat might hiss and get protective of the downstairs) and she gave him his space until he relaxed and she was able to complete her cat sitting duties. She stayed longer than requested, probably because of the time lost due to the hissing fit - she made sure to get all the water bowl changes/litter box cleaning done!
