About me: I'm a proud cat-mom to two felines I adopted from local shelters. My other job is in people-care, but I believe cats are the absolute best pets on the planet, and I truly love learning their quirks and spending time with them whenever I can.
What's my availability?
- I'm available most mornings, (some midday depending on location), evenings and weekends for kitty care.

I have two kitties who've taught me everything I know named Biscuit and Saoirse (aka "Cheech"), pictured in the photos.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?
Go with your gut! Hire the sitter that makes you feel the most comfortable, one you trust to follow your instructions, stay in communication and shower your kitties with love and attention. If you have a meet and greet and it doesn't seem like a good fit, go with a different sitter. The relationship has to work for everyone involved!
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
I approach my role in your home like I would my own. I stay observant. If something seems off, I investigate and get in touch with the cat parent immediately. I scan for hazards in order to prevent issues, and notice/address any change in a cat's status or the home (like a hose left on, Christmas tree that needs watering, or a sticky door lock). I'll fix the problem and then let the cat parent know. I'm conscientious about following instructions. I ask questions- I want to make you and the cats happy! Whenever I leave the home I get a visual on every cat & double check lights and locks.
Are you usually available during holidays?
My availability varies- please message me on the app if you have any special scheduling questions so I can see what I can do!
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
Every cat communicates in their own way and my approach is to observe, remain available, and take my cues from them. Not every cat will become my best friend, but usually, given enough time, I earn head rubs and purrs from all my clients. 😻 Kitties express their needs and my job is to tune in and give them whatever they need, whether it's belly rubs or lots of space.

Sarah was great. I have three cats and two of them take medicine regularly, one of those being an insulin injection. So it was important to schedule the timing of the visits every 12 hours. We had several visits before my trip so that my cats could get comfortable with her and to ensure that she would be able to successfully administer the meds. She stayed in clear communication with me during and surrounding the visits and took notes to get the details right. She sent lots of pictures and sent messages documenting what she had done through the visits. Though I was very stressed about having to leave for the trip, having her to rely on to take care of the cats really helped relieve some of my anxiety. I was worried that my return flight might get delayed and she was willing to be flexible and add additional visits in the event that occurred, but it wasn't necessary. I highly recommend Sarah for any cat sitting that you might need.

Sarah is my first cat-sitter that I've ever used and I've had a very great experience with her. She is very professional and respectful. She replies to messages very quickly and is thorough. Sarah sends lots of cute pictures of the cats as well as the food, water, and litter box so you can see for yourself how everything is going. My cats loved her. One of my cats who is more outgoing loved to get pets from Sarah. My other cat is very scared of people, but he got used to Sarah over time. She was the perfect person to be around my high-anxiety kitty. I am glad I chose her to take care of my cats and will ask her for her service in the future.

Sarah took excellent care of my kitty, Ruthie. I came home to a very calm and peaceful little girl. She gave Ruthie her oral thyroid meds twice a day, and made sure she was fed and had fresh water. She also took care of my home, bringing in mail and turning off a water hose a neighbor had left running. She cared for Ruthie like she were her own kitty, and I will definitely request her in the future!

Sarah is the best!! I have actually quit another service in order to use her exclusively from now on because I was that impressed by her and prefer to have the same one person come to my house instead of multiple people (per the other service). Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.
These are the date ranges in 2026 to which the holiday surcharge applies:
- January 1-4: New Year's 2026
- January 16-22: MLK Day
- February 13-19: Presidents Day
- May 22-28: Memorial Day
- June 16-22: Juneteenth
- July 1-7: July 4th

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.
If it doesn't feel like a purrfect fit after a Meet & Greet or during a reservation, our support team is here to help at 1-844-Meowtel (1-844-636-9835). We'll take time to understand what happened and help you consider next steps, which could include help with a new reservation.
Austin cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $26.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.
We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.
Each visit typically includes: feeding, refreshing water bowls, litter box scooping, tidying up, medications, updates with photos, lots of playtime, and any special requests. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet!

Sarah knows and loves our kitties just like her own.
