Before i meet yours, let me introduce you to mine! My two babies are Theo (tuxedo) and George (long-haired). They are both rescues and full of personality! All Theo wants is lil soups and cuddles while George on the other hand has some anxiety and likes to nap in his stroller and devour catnip! I don't know what i would do without my little family!
Now, a little about me! I have recently made... Hi there, My names Hunter and I'm excited to meet you and your sweet fur baby!

Now, a little about me! I have recently made the transition from full time optical manager to pet sitter!! I have pet sat for the past 4 years part time with all animals including cats, dogs, cows, horses and even pigs! But, my feline friends have always held a special place in my heart having grown up with cats! Outside of animals, my passions include sports, musicals, and cooking!
I am located in south Austin near Buda but more than happy to travel anywhere in Austin to help ease the minds of you guys by delivering excellent care and love towards yall's fur babies! I have had my own struggles finding quality pet care in the past so I strive to make sure any pets I care for, their owners wont feel the same!

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
I enjoy getting to create that bond and meet new kitties! Each kitty is incredibly unique and to build a bond, even if it is just for a quick drop in, is important to me! I also take pride in giving confidence to the owner that they are able to take a trip and relax knowing their baby is well taken care of!

I have 2 kitties, Theo and George! 😻
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
I like to have a meet and greet with the parent and the fur baby! Having that prior meeting and familiarity with not only their kitty but with them as parents is important to me because I want to be as informed and familiar with them and their routines to make each sitting as comfortable as possible! 🥰
Are you usually available during holidays?
I am typically available during most holidays! 🎉
What is your favorite cat toy?
My favorite cat toy is a fishing pole with a cat nip fish on the end 🎣

If you're looking for someone who will look after your kitty baby/babies with the utmost care, your search should stop here - Hunter is absolutely wonderful. Not only is he so very approachable, warm and friendly, he is also extremely attuned to what cats respond well to. When Hunter came to do our meet and greet, we were immediately impressed by the fact that the first thing he said to us was that he wanted to give our kitty boys (Bammy and Celo) some space to get acquainted with him and for them come and say hello to him when they were ready. This was particularly appreciated as we had visited the vets the day before and Bammy went through a serious anxious episode which continued for a couple of days after our vet visit. When Hunter came for our meet and greet, Bammy wasn't quite himself, hid away the whole time and did not want to be around anybody (notwithstanding that he is usually very vibrant, friendly and loves meeting new folk!). Hunter was super respectful of that and didn't try to say hello to Bammy when he wasn't ready yet, which was really appreciated. Fast forward to the first day of Hunter's visit (post-Bammy returning back to his usual self), both Bammy and Celo couldn't get enough of Hunter! They got very comfortable with Hunter straight away and we immediately knew that our boys would be well taken care of. Usually, whenever we return from work trips/vacations, we can generally tell that the cats haven't quite been themselves and, although this subsides very quickly, there is usually a small amount of anxious energy from the cats by virtue of us being away. The cherry on top is that this time, there was absolutely none of that - the boys were in fantastic spirits when we came back and both were meowing like crazy... we were convinced that they were saying "Why are you guys back, we want Hunter instead please, we prefer him!" Thank you so much Hunter for looking after our boys so well. Bammy and Celo (and of course, us too!) are really looking forward to having you back again!

Hunter is the BEST EVER. Cannot recommend enough!! I was very stressed traveling with my cat who was recently diagnosed with diabetes, and instead of worrying the entire trip, Hunter had me so excited for his daily updates. He took the best care of my boy, sending so many pics and amazing details and commentary on his visits. My cat is.. a character and he somehow managed to not only easily get him his meds but befriend him!! Hunter was so prompt, easy to communicate with and was such a bright light for what otherwise could have been a stressful time for me and my boy. Immediately rebooked for my next trip, thank you endlessly, Hunter. Picket already misses you :) :)

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.
These are the date ranges in 2026 to which the holiday surcharge applies:
- January 1-4: New Year's 2026
- January 16-22: MLK Day
- February 13-19: Presidents Day
- May 22-28: Memorial Day
- June 16-22: Juneteenth
- July 1-7: July 4th

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Austin cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $25.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.
We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.
