What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

I'm relatively new to cat sitting as of now (I started in Nov 2025), but I've had cats my whole life so I'm knowledgeable on how to best care for them and accommodate for their feelings.

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

I enjoy making new kitty friends and making sure they're well cared for. I can understand the anxiety of not knowing if your cat is being looked after well or worrying that they're anxious without you, so I like providing that relief for the cat parent.

Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?

For about a month I visited a clients house every few days, and their kitties grew very friendly with me. One of the kitties was previously in an abusive situation, so it was a big deal for him to be so willing to lay on my chest and drool all over me. The other kitty started out very skittish, but later started to join in on the cuddles. I think about those kitties often.

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

My current cat is named Kali. She's a 14 year old munchkin who's a bit of a diva, but she's very sweet and cuddly.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?

My advice is to find a cat sitter that you're sure can fit your needs. Check if they can provide your cat's kind of medication if applicable. Check their availability and their distance from you for a higher chance of an accepted reservation. Note their photos. Checking reviews is also helpful!

What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?

My typical process is to ask what their kitties need and request a picture of their kitty if they haven't set up their profile yet. I'll also set up a meet and greet if that's something they're interested in.

How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?

To ensure their safety and security I always open front doors as little as possible, ensuring that when entering and exiting a curious kitty can't get out of their home. I also do my best to walk slowly if the kitty is walking near me to reduce the chance of tripping over them when they get underfoot.

Are you usually available during holidays?

I'm available all federal holidays EXCEPT Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years. My availability is open for all of the smaller holidays ie. Veterans Day, MLK Day, etc., including Valentine's Day.

What is your favorite cat toy?

I'm a fan of the cat tubes with the holes in the sides! I like watching my cat run through them, and I like playing with the sides of the tube to get her extra excited to play.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

I take everything very slow. Not walking too fast, talking too loudly and especially not forcing them to be pet. I let them come to me if they desire it. I offer treats or food I have been told they like and let the kitty do all the thinking.

Cancellation Policy

Cat parents may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a full refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Cat parents will receive a full refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Cat parents will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the cat parent cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.
