Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

Yes I do! My cats are Korra (named after ATLA) and Clementine 🍊(or Clem, clemclem, or clemethy for short)! Korra is a Tortie with ample tortietude and Clem is your average crazy calico, so I’m used to big cat personalities lol

What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?

First is getting to know the logistics, feeding schedules, cat litter, medications, emergency plans, making sure I have all the contact information I need. Then figuring out your cat’s specific preferences! Not every cat sitting experience is going to be the same, sometimes with more timid cats, they get more stressed the longer you’re there and it’s better to take care of their needs and leave quickly; with other cats they want to play or cuddle and get some energy out while you’re there, it really depends on the personality!

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

Trust takes time, the main thing is not forcing a relationship with the animal and letting it develop naturally. Just sitting down calmly and letting the cat come to you until they get used to you. Sometimes play will also help get a shy cat out of their shell, or treats they like!

Cancellation Policy

Customers may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a 100% refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Customers will receive a 100% refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Customers will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the customer cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.

The Meowtel Promise & Satisfaction Guarantee

We are proud to provide each of our independently-contracted Meowtel cat sitters with the full benefits of our Meowtel Promise on eligible reservations. For reservations where each visit is at or above $20 and paid for through Meowtel, your cat(s) will automatically be covered under our insurance policy in the event that things don't go as planned.

If you are not fully satisfied with your sitter after the Meet & Greet or during the reservation, please call 1-844-636-9835 so we can help you re-book with a new sitter to ensure we can deliver on our purrfect hospitality promise.
