Hi! I'm Dana, and I **love** cats! Each kitty is unique, and I enjoy meeting new cats, making them feel comfortable, and earning their trust! I have volunteered with cat rescue organizations as well as the shelter. Our home is run by three domestic long hair kitties (all rescues)! I can assist with most medications; although, I do not have experience with injectables.
One of the reasons that I work with Meowtel is that, as a cat owner, I know how challenging it can be to find a reliable, caring. sitter. In addition to the reviews provided, my clients consistently mention that their kitties seem to love being around me and are happy upon their return home. I have been called a "Cat Whisperer" many times. I do my absolute best to treat each kitty as an individual and learn their likes, dislikes, and so on. If you have a camera in your home, you will often see my sitting on the floor and petting, playing, or just talking to your pets (if kitty is shy).
In addition to feeding, petting, playing, and scooping, I will assist with your mail, plants, and light settings! :)

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
I love meeting new cats and pet parents! I tell all of my new clients that the reason I cat sit is because I know that it can be challenging to find a reliable person to watch kitties. Unfortunately, we have had some bad cat sitters in the past at my home. So, I chose to work with Meowtel to give back to others and provide kitty parents with reassurance that their cats will be in good hands when they are away from home!
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
Yes! We have two cats; both are domestic medium hair and both were rescued! Their names are Sagan (male) and Scout (female).
Are you usually available during holidays?
I am most often available during holidays; however, I may travel during the holidays at times.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
Each cat is unique, but cats tend to view the world on their terms - which is one of the many reasons we all love them so much! I approach all new cats by seeing if they will come to me first. If not, I will offer them the back of my hand in a calm manner and on their level. Sometimes, I will just sit in the middle of the room and talk to kitty until he or she is willing to spend time with me. Honestly, the way that I interact with all cats is dependent upon their preferences. However, I always allow the cat to guide the interactions! :)

She was patient, kind, kept me informed of all visits with pictures and short blogs. My senior cats are used to traveling and having sitters check on them so they are very social and quite talkative. Dana took it in stride and said nothing but nice things. She did such a great job that she was rebooked before the initial reservation was completed.

She came prepared to our first session to learn as much as she could about Orion to make take care of him but also make him feel safe and comfortable with her. She gave us timely updates about his wellbeing, what did for the day and pictures of his activities. Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.
These are the date ranges in 2026 to which the holiday surcharge applies:
- January 1-4: New Year's 2026
- January 16-22: MLK Day
- February 13-19: Presidents Day
- May 22-28: Memorial Day
- June 16-22: Juneteenth
- July 1-7: July 4th
- September 4-10: Labor Day
- October 9-15: Columbus Day / Indigenous Peoples' Day
- November 8-14: Veterans Day
- November 23-29: Thanksgiving

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Fort Worth cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $26.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.
We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.
