As a cat parent myself I’m VERY hyper attentive to my cat’s needs and pay attention to literally everything - eating, drinking, litter, and behavior habits - to make sure nothing seems “off” and would warrant a trip to the vet. I appreciate extremely detailed care guides to help me get to know your cat better. No request would be too ridiculous for me; if your cat HAS to have like ten minutes of guided meditation every night or something like that, I’m more than happy to do it! I completely understand the stress of having to leave your pet behind for any reason, so whatever helps make all parties comfortable is okay with me.

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I have a 6 year old cat named Susan! She’s the love of my life. She was my first cat ever and completely converted me to being a cat person lol. When we first got her she was super shy of course, but now she’s social and will hang out with me and my friends during parties, run around the house all day while I’m trying to work, and isn’t shy about waking me up at 4 am to play. Complete 180 from when we first got her!
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?
I think there’s no shame in shopping around and interviewing multiple sitters until you find one you like. It’s a lot of trust to place in someone to take care of your pet, so why not make sure you’re super comfortable with that person. And don’t be afraid to look “crazy” by giving super detailed care instructions. No request is too silly if it means you and your pet are comfortable!
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
If there is no need to make the cat more nervous by picking them up and being in their space, then I won’t do it. Especially the first time meeting a cat, I’ll let them introduce themselves at their own pace if it can be helped and just provide the opportunity for them to approach me whenever they please. If I have to approach or handle a timid cat, I’ll try coaxing them with treats first before introducing my hand to them.

Isabella was great with my senior cat! Isabella is patient and caring and was able to get my fussy cat to eat her medications and even take her outside for walks in the yard. My cat had had some stress and difficulty with my previous sitter so I was really impressed when Isabella was able to put her harness on and take her outside like I usually do! Having Isabella with my cat gave me so much relief on my trip knowing that she was in good hands. Isabella took excellent care of my cat and my home. I will definitely be using her again for my next trip!

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.

Burbank cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $36.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
