At home, my fiancee and I have two beautiful cats named Kona and Winnie, a dynamic dilute tortoiseshell + orange tabby duo. I volunteer for a cat shelter on a weekly basis and am deeply passionate about taking care of our lovely feline friends!
When caring for your cats, you can rest easy knowing that I will give them all my love, whether they are shy or outgoing. I will treat them like I treat my own cats and snap as many photos of them as I can to send back to you!
I am originally from the Bay Area, but I moved to SoCal last year! I live in Culver City and can service any households within a reasonable distance in West Los Angeles. I look forward to meeting your kitties!

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I have two cats currently! Kona is an 8 year old dilute tortoiseshell girl, and the first cat I’ve ever had in my life! She showed me the joys of cat ownership and despite her shy demeanor, she is a total cuddlebug at night in bed. Winnie is a 3 year old big orange boy who came one year after Kona. Kona was feeling a little lonely and Winnie ended up being a perfect companion for her. He is a total sweetheart, and loves to be held. He follows me around wherever I go and I can never take one step without hearing him chirp!
What is your favorite cat toy?
My favorite toy is Lizzie the Lizard (https://www.christhecat.com/product-page/lizzie-the-lizard). The long tail and the fuzziness of the toy just drives my cats crazy!! They love it.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I've encountered COUNTLESS anxious cats but it just takes a bit of time to make them feel more comfortable. Speaking in a high-pitched soft voice always helps, but crouching down lower to their eye level and letting them slowly sniff you is equally important!

I highly recommend Jason! He took great care of my two cats while I was away. My cats are usually shy, but they immediately went up to him. He showed up on time for every visit and kept a steady routine, and he kept me updated with lots of great photos. Communication was always clear, and he asked thoughtful questions to make sure my cats were comfortable and well cared for. I plan on booking Jason again for my upcoming trips!

Jason's years of volunteering have given him exposure to hundreds of cats and he's become experienced with dealing with a variety of body language--shy and skittish cats to energetic and outgoing ones. His strength definitely lies with knowing how to interact with a variety of cat behaviors and meeting new cats for the first time. Jason has shown these skills to me personally, having taken excellent care of my two kitties while I've been away on trips ranging from a weekend to up to two weeks. He provided daily photo and video updates of my cats eating and playing that gave me peace of mind; Jason's skills as a professional photographer definitely helped here! He has stayed over at my apartment and been a very respectful guest and caretaker--even though I had a ring camera, I didn't feel the need to check it. My girl cat was very shy and would hide at first, but she's gotten a lot more comfortable with Jason and would even give him head bumps and meow for pets eventually. She remembers him every time he comes back, even if it's been a long time between bookings. I would absolutely recommend Jason as a caretaker for your kitty too!

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.
