What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

I have former experience with cat sitting back when I lived in San Diego and have been doing it since 2015. During this time I have taken care of sick, timid, and nervous cats.

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

I enjoy getting to spend quality time with cats who are normally used to human interaction and are social. I also enjoy getting to know and take care of anxious cats (my Tortie being one). I understand the hard work, love, and dedication it takes to make sure they feel happy and safe while you're away from home. Getting their trust and love is one of the most rewarding parts of taking care of them!

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

I have 2 cats! A male black cat named Archer and female tortie named Tortellini.

What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?

Earning my trust is my number one priority! My go-to is reaching for their favorite toys or engaging with treats.

How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?

As I have 2 cats of my own, I will not be able to provide service at my home. However, in my clients' homes, I will ensure that all animals are properly fed at their scheduled/desired times, play and/or walk with extensively so that the animals can let out their energy and relax throughout the day and/or evening, as well as provide love and attention so that they are reassured they are safe and taken care of while their paw-rents are away.

Are you usually available during holidays?

Sometimes! I enjoy traveling and go out of state fairly often but I make sure my calendar is always up to date. For my regular clients, I provide at least 2-weeks notice for any days I will not be available for care.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

I usually ask at meet and greets what types of things make your kitty happy and excited. For example, my Tortie is food motivated and when new visitors meet her, I provide them treats to "introduce" themselves to her and she is typically open to meet them! If your cat has a toy or other items like this, this will be helpful for me to introduce myself to your cat.

Cancellation Policy

Customers may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a 100% refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Customers will receive a 100% refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Customers will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the customer cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.

The Meowtel Promise & Satisfaction Guarantee

We are proud to provide each of our independently-contracted Meowtel cat sitters with the full benefits of our Meowtel Promise on eligible reservations. For reservations where each visit is at or above $20 and paid for through Meowtel, your cat(s) will automatically be covered under our insurance policy in the event that things don't go as planned.

If you are not fully satisfied with your sitter after the Meet & Greet or during the reservation, please call 1-844-636-9835 so we can help you re-book with a new sitter to ensure we can deliver on our purrfect hospitality promise.
