A pair of distinguished elderly gentlemen who are the sweetest, softest, loveliest cats.

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

I have 4 cats. Sif, 11, Newt, 8, Zeke, 8 and Max, 2.

What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?

I'll take notes about the cats, their needs and the house and confirm all instructions in writing for the first visit, then update as needed.

How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?

I follow the owner's instructions meticulously. I'm cautious about opening doors to the outside or rooms that aren't safe for cats, like a garage. I try to come by in the same time window throughout the engagement. I am careful to spot and eliminate hazards. I make sure points of entry are locked, alarms are set, packages/mail is taken in, nothing has leaked, etc. I'm observant and I use common sense.

Are you usually available during holidays?

Yes. I'm a Baltimore native, my mom moved in with me a few years ago and I'm not religious.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

I follow the cat's lead. If they want to hide, I don't bother them (unless they need meds or something seems off). If they want interaction, I pet them or sing to them. I always speak to the cat/s while I'm there. The cat is stressed enough from missing their human/s and they hate changes in routine. I do my best not to add to that and provide comfort and security.

While the basics were done, I wasn't told about Leye's messy peeing and wasn't asked where the litter was. Doesn't take out the trash either. A very unfortunate experience.

I had to add a last minute extra day to my reservation and Amy was able to accommodate. Some of the treats I left for my cat did not agree with her and she had a bit of an upset stomach. I felt more comfortable knowing Amy could check in on her one last time before I got home. Would absolutely recommend!

Cancellation Policy

Customers may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a 100% refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Customers will receive a 100% refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Customers will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the customer cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.
