2023 Meowtel Cat Sitter Pawformance Incentives

Today, we're excited to announce our 2023 cat sitter pawformance incentives and the accompanying achievement badges which have been awarded as our way of saying thank mew to the sitters who deliver our purrfect hospitality to kitties and cat parents each and every day.

Our sitter community had yet another record-setting year in terms of the key metrics we measure to ensure your success, including total reservation earnings, tips, and the number of reviews you receive. As our community continues to grow and thrive we want to take this opportunity to thank those who contribute so much to making this possible: all of you!

We love to reward sitters for great purrformance so we have released 3 new Sitter Achievement Badges and have awarded performance based incentive payments to 211 sitters who met our 2023 eligibility criteria:

1. You completed at least 10 reservations during 2023;
2. You maintained an average star rating of 4.8 or above;
3. You were still active and in good standing with us as of January 30, 2024;
4. You were in the top 10% of sitters in your state based on your total earnings for reservations placed and completed in 2023; and
5. You did not have any customer complaints escalated to us in 2023 where we ruled in favor of the customer.

The amount of the performance incentive is based on a sitter's earnings for reservations placed and completed in 2023 and the amount will be the greater of $50 or:

1. Top 1%: 1.5% of your 2023 earnings
2. Top 5%: .75% of your 2023 earnings
3. Top 10%: .5% of your 2023 earnings

For example, if there are 100 sitters in a state, the top 10 sitters in terms of earnings who meet the other criteria listed above would receive an incentive payment. The amount of that payment is based on their earnings from eligible reservations, not including tips, multiplied by the applicable percentage from the list up above.

Performance incentives have been deposited to each eligible sitter and can be seen in the Payouts & Earnings screen in their sitter dashboard.

Eligible sitters also received an achievement badge on their sitter listing letting customers know they are booking one of our top performing sitters! The badges are live on Meowtel.com and will be updated in the mobile app in the coming days.
