In 2026, we’re introducing something new: Meowtel’s inaugural Cat Sitter Appreciation Week 🎉
This week, we’re setting aside time to celebrate the incredible humans behind the magic of in-home cat care.
Across the country, more than 5,000 trusted cat sitters on Meowtel have cared for over 125,000 cats (and counting!) bringing comfort, consistency, and peace of mind to cat parents everywhere.
And while we’re celebrating this week, one thing remains purr-fectly clear:
Cat sitters deserve appreciation every single day of the year.

Cat sitting isn’t just a service, it’s a relationship built over time. It’s learning which toy gets the first pounce, noticing when something feels just a little “off,” and sending updates that turn a worried trip into true peace of mind.
Every visit is rooted in connection, compassion, and a deep understanding of what makes each cat unique, and it’s that level of thoughtful care that makes Meowtel such a special place for both cat parents and sitters alike.
🏆 Recognizing Our Busiest Sitters of 2025
As part of Cat Sitter Appreciation Week, we’re excited to recognize some of the busiest sitters in their local areas, those who have supported the most bookings and cared for a high number of cats throughout the year.
These sitters have shown up time and time again, building relationships with cat parents and becoming trusted, familiar faces for the kitties they care for. Their consistency and dedication have made a meaningful impact in their communities, one visit at a time.
What does it mean to be a “Top Sitter”?
Our Top Sitter distinctions highlight the busiest sitters by visit volume within each local area in 2025:
- Top 1%: Among the busiest sitters in their area
- Top 5%: Highly active with strong visit volume
- Top 10%: Consistently booked and engaged sitters
These badges reflect activity and demand within a specific area, and are calculated based on completed reservations.
Each sitter’s schedule, availability, and goals look a little different, which means that the Top 1%-10% group in 2025 aren’t the only incredible sitters on Meowtel. This is just one way we’re celebrating the many contributions across our community.
Whether you completed one visit or one hundred, every sitter plays an important role in the care we provide to cats and their families. 🐾

We’re always looking for new ways to celebrate the incredible care, dedication, and expertise within our sitter community, and we’re excited to share that new sitter badges are on the way.
Catographer
Recognizes sitters with a photo-rich profile, which can help cat parents get a better feel for their experience, style, and the kind of care they offer.
Awarded to sitters with 6 or more photos on their sitter listing.
Purrfect Planner
Recognizes sitters who frequently update their calendars, which makes it easier for cat parents to see when they’re truly available.
Awarded to sitters who update their calendar at least once per week.
Neighborhood Explorer
Recognizes sitters who serve a broader area, which may help them appear in more local searches and connect with more cat parents nearby.
Awarded to sitters who typically cover 10 or more ZIP codes, but this threshold will vary depending on the market.
We’ll be sharing more details soon on how these badges are earned and how they’ll appear on sitter profiles.
