What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

Although I have never done cat sitting professionally (yet), I have been an occasional cat sitter for friends and family friends since high school. I have experience feeding cats on a consistent basis, cleaning up litter boxes and throw-up, and generally keeping my eye on cats so they don’t climb onto kitchen counters, scratch up couches, or leave the house. I have also taken care of my own cat for extended periods of time while home alone with him.

What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?

Once we connect I would of course want to understand all the basics: When do you need me to come and how often? Do you have any special instructions for feeding, cleaning up after, and/or generally taking care your cat(s)? Is there anything else you want me to know about taking care of your home? Beyond that, I also want to more more about your cats personality and quirks. If possible, I would like to meet them for the first time while you are there so they can get familiar with me before I am with them alone.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

I understand that if a cat is timid, getting to know them happens on their terms. I would be around them long enough to show that I’m a stable and calm presence, and pay attention to their body language so as to not scare them off when they open up to interaction.

Cancellation Policy

Cat parents may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a full refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Cat parents will receive a full refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Cat parents will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the cat parent cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.
