I do like meeting both the owner and cat before the official sitting times to make sure we all get familiar with each other. I also respect their boundaries as much as possib... As a fellow cat owner myself, I understand how much you care about your fur-babies. I also cat sit regularly, providing a sense of peace to both the cat and the owner.
I do like meeting both the owner and cat before the official sitting times to make sure we all get familiar with each other. I also respect their boundaries as much as possible, if they don't want to be pet or if they're super scared, I get to the floor and wait for them to come to me. Sometimes, the first meetings can just be me sitting on the floor and allowing the cat to get used to my presence. After I earn the cat's trust, I take lots of photos and communicate as much as possible in my report to the owner (:

I have been cat sitting for about 1.5 years now and I love meeting the different cats in my city.
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I have a shorthair Tabby named Toast. i adopted him during COVID and he's the reason why I love cats so much.
Are you usually available during holidays?
I typically am, I usually spend the holidays at home. If not, I update my calendar a couple of weeks in advance.

Narin was absolutely wonderful with our cats for 8 days! From the very start, she was reliable, communicative, and clearly genuinely fond of animals. She followed all of our care instructions to the letter and kept us updated throughout our time away, which gave us such peace of mind. One of our cats is very shy and usually takes a long time to warm up to new people — but Narin won him over so quickly, it honestly surprised us. You could tell she has a real, natural way with cats. On top of all that, she took the most adorable photos of them and clearly put real time and effort into doing so — we were obsessed! We came home to two happy, relaxed kitties — the best sign possible! We’ll 100% be booking with Narin again and can’t recommend her highly enough.

My cat was a little stressed to have a new person in the house checking in on her, so Narin proactively suggested bringing a treat to help calm her down. Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.
These are the date ranges in 2026 to which the holiday surcharge applies:
- January 1-4: New Year's 2026
- January 16-22: MLK Day
- February 13-19: Presidents Day
- May 22-28: Memorial Day
- June 16-22: Juneteenth
- July 1-7: July 4th
- September 4-10: Labor Day
- October 9-15: Columbus Day / Indigenous Peoples' Day
- November 8-14: Veterans Day
- November 23-29: Thanksgiving
- December 22-28: Christmas
- December 29-31: New Year's 2027

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Glendale cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $35.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.

She's not only incredibly personable and easy to communicate with, but also deeply attentive to every detail of my cats' routines and behaviors. One of my cats requires daily medication and both suffer from separation anxiety, but under Narin’s care, they are always calm and content when I return.
