I have been having cats since young and the cat loving in me did not stop there - from walk-in strays and making them my family's cats to volunteering at shelters and feeding a cat colony while living abroad to adopting two cats from Qatar; one stray named Bobbie and one rescue named Zoee with my husband.
Rest assure that your cats will be pampered and taken care of very well like my own and here is what I will do for you cats while you're away:
😸 Feed your cats their meals/treats as per your instructions
😸 Change water bowls or fountains regularly
😸 Wash the food and water bowls daily
😸 Ensure food and water area is clean
😸 Scooping the litter boxes and refill the litter if needed
😸 Clean the cat litter area
😸 Clean up any vomit or hairballs
😸 Most importantly, update you with pictures and videos of your cats!
While I had experiences giving my own cat oral medication (liquid in a syringe, pills in pill pockets), ear/eye drops and applying topical ointments, I could accommodate your request depending on your cat.

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
Yes I have kitties. They are Bobbie and Zoee and are adopted from Doha, Qatar. They are currently living their jet-setting lives as King and Queen of my household. Bobbie is a ginger domestic shorthair who is always begging for treats while Zoee is a tabby domestic shorthair who is always begging to play.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?
I do go on trips and I leave my two cats behind so finding the right cat sitter is essential and I understand the needs of cat owners having to leave their cats while on vacation. Firstly, I would suggest looking for someone who has cats or have experiences in cat-sitting and a cat lover. During the initial greeting, see how your cats react to the cat sitter. If your cats are timid or anxious, the cat sitter should portray calmness and patience to earn your cats‘ trust. Instructions that are given should be clear and concise so that the cat sitter understands. It will be great if the cat sitter repeats the instructions given after that.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I have a shy and anxious cat of my own. Zoee takes her time to warm up and she allows me to understand cats that are like her. I am very patient when dealing with a timid or an anxious cat. I do not enforce an interaction and will give the cat the space and respect while trying to earn their trust.

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
