I’m based in Inwood, Manhattan and I serve the upper Manhattan and Riverdale areas, with bigger flexibility if you live close to the A/C/1/2/3 lines. I have a tabby cat named Alex, who is the world’s biggest loverboy. I work from home as a marketer and my flexible schedule is perfect for caring for your cats. I believe that cats are complex, smart, loving, and social. It’s important that a cat sitter not just come by to feed and scoop, but also to play, provide snuggles, or just be present if your cats are more timid. I am wholeheartedly devoted to my own cat and know the value of a sitter who is engaged, reliable, compassionate, and trustworthy. Beyond food, water, litter scooping, sweeping, playing, and loving according to your instructions (and your cat’s boundaries), I’m happy to do any other light tasks like bringing in mail/packages or plant watering (I’m well-versed in plants!). I’m also an avid over-communicator and love to provide lots of photo and video updates of your furry ones while in your home!

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
I am one of those people who is obsessed with animals possibly more than people, and I love getting to know the personalities and quirks of each cat that I meet. It is also enormously rewarding to see a cat feel at ease in my care.
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
I am a sponge: I would love to set up a meet-and-greet prior to the first reservation so I can get to know you and your cat(s), learn about their boundaries and needs, answer questions, and set expectations. I’m an open book and an avid over-communicator, so feel free to ask as many questions as you need.
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
I have my own experiences with a mischievous and curious little cat, so I am all too keen on mitigating open windows and doors, sharp or breakable objects, food and drinks that are left out, or any poisonous plants within reach.

Admittedly we were nervous to get a new cat sitter for a holiday weekend (combined with a detailed “how to” sheet). One of our cats can also be a bit particular and picky about people she likes. We also didn’t have high hopes when she didn’t make an appearance when Lisa came over for her meet & greet. But, things turned around quickly! Not only did our picky princess come out and greet Lisa, she gave her little head bumps! Both cats seemed happy and relaxed when we came home, and our house was tidy. Lisa sent tons of pics and videos when she came over which we appreciated as well - it made us so happy and relaxed to know the cats were being taken care of! 100% will be using Lisa again.

Wonderful experience overall! Lisa is reliable and attentive, followed feeding and care instructions perfectly, and sent daily updates and photos. She clearly paid attention to my two cats’ individual needs throughout a week of drop-ins. Very respectful of my home and even retrieved a couple of unexpected packages. Would absolutely book again and highly recommend to others.

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.
These are the date ranges in 2026 to which the holiday surcharge applies:
- January 1-4: New Year's 2026
- January 16-22: MLK Day
- February 13-19: Presidents Day
- May 22-28: Memorial Day
- June 16-22: Juneteenth
- July 1-7: July 4th
- September 4-10: Labor Day
- October 9-15: Columbus Day / Indigenous Peoples' Day

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

New York cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $31.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.

We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.

Lisa was a great catsitter for us while we were gone! She had amazing communication and I could tell how my much care and love she had for our cats. It calmed my anxiety knowing they were in good hands for the week, and from the videos I saw, my cats felt very comfortable too.
