I'm Cate, and have been a cat parent for over 20+ years. I love all animals, but cats and kittens have a special place in my heart.

As a cat sitter, I've been able to give great chin rubs to the shy, clip the nails of the spiciest, clean the litter box of the worst, brush out a mat or two, and even given insulin shots to a diabetic senior.

I respect a family's home with an English butler's discretion, and each kitty is their own mini-lion that is to be treated like a royal.

Topical ointments/flea prevention, eye and ear drops, pills, insulin injections. I've done most of these procedures for my own cats. I am not "professionally trained" in these procedures, but can follow a vet's instructions, within reason.

-Upper East Side and East Harlem, NYC are my best neighborhoods for fast service. My services are in MANHATTAN-ONLY. I live in Spanish Harlem and am close to the 6 train, the Q train, and most bus lines.

I am fully vaccinated and boosted and happy to wear a mask in your home if you prefer.

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

I've co-habitated with cats all my life. From birth I've always had cats and loved them all. My longest relationship was my last cat, he lived to 22.

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

I love cats and their different personalities- divas to silly babies, I love winning them over. I take my role as a cat lady seriously when I cat-sit.

Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?

They are 2 Persian boys that live uptown. One is the elder and stately, and the younger is silly and so charming. They adore anyone who visits, but I like to believe I'm one of their faves, besides their mom, of corse.

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

My sweet rescue baby boy Kismet passed away when my son was 5. He made it to age 22. I'm waiting for my husband to take allergy shots so we can adopt another one.

What is your favorite cat toy?

Fishing rod with feathers.

Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:


  • More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
  • 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
  • Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.

All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.

Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

New York cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $31.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
