Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

My husband and I currently have 1 rescue cat named Whiskers! I grew up in NJ where my family took in 2 female strays, one of which eventually had 2 male babies. I have familiarity with single and multiple cat households, cats of every age category and both genders.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?

I would advise them to do their research and hire someone that would work with them and their cat. I was (and still am) in the cat parents’ shoes so I am familiar with the process and want to feel comfortable with who is watching my pet. Schedule a meet and greet after selection is my next step. It’s so important to meet not only the parents but the cat in their environment. Learning their routine, toys, habits, etc is pivotal and also eases any angst the parents might have.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

I always lets animals come to me. I am not one to force a pet, snuggle or interaction. I have a timid cat myself and she took a while to warm to my husband and I. I know it’s not an easy process and takes time but I’m willing to take on the timid and anxious while you are away. I feel like I have a strong rapport with animals and they come around to me.

Cancellation Policy

Cat parents may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a full refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Cat parents will receive a full refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Cat parents will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the cat parent cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.
