caring for sensitive eaters with specific dietary needs ( including adding measured liquid vitamins &, coat supplements)
cleaning robotic and traditional litter, and fancy drink fountains!
Finally, I am an expert plant parent and love to see them thrive - so I am happy to water plants and bring in mail in addition to caring for your puddy-tats.

Are you usually available during holidays?
Yes, i am available. I do like to plan in advance of the busier national holidays to maximise my cat sitting time, so let’s chat about when and what you need.
What is your favorite cat toy?
Easy… my ribbon ropey flingy string thing. It is cat crack - the movement of this thing is irresistable to the kitties - its also really long so it can really exercise the energetic cats when you fling it up and down a hallway. I think it looks like a wiggly rainbow snake.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
With care and quiet. I often move around the space with as little fanfare as possible so as not to startle the kitty. I will sit still in the space for the visit if the cat is comfortable being there and talk or sing to myself (it sounds nuts) but the cat will get used to my tone and know that im not a threat. If there are medications involved, I will generally discuss these with the owner ahead of time and agree on a plan.

Kas is everything you could wish for in a sitter! She took amazing care of my cats and I was able to fully enjoy my time off knowing that they were in the best hands. Kas truly cares for cats and has a lot of experience working with them. During our pre-sitting call I was impressed by the thoroughness of her questions and preparedness. While I was away Kas provided sweet and witty updates and took some great shots of cats! Highly recommend Kas to anyone looking for a high-quality, compassionate, fun sitter.

Kas genuinely loves cats! She has a history of nursing particularly sick fosters back to health. I've witnessed her interact so naturally with the cats she comes into contact with - she reads their body language well and responds appropriately. She is trustworthy (which is what I think these cats respond to) and has a healthy respect for boundaries and personal space. She is reliable, patient and has vast experience managing medications without getting frustrated. She'll treat your cat with as much love as she would one of her own!

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.
These are the date ranges in 2026 to which the holiday surcharge applies:
- January 1-4: New Year's 2026
- January 16-22: MLK Day
- February 13-19: Presidents Day
- May 22-28: Memorial Day
- June 16-22: Juneteenth
- July 1-7: July 4th
- September 4-10: Labor Day
- October 9-15: Columbus Day / Indigenous Peoples' Day
- November 8-14: Veterans Day

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

New York cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $29.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.

I was going away for Christmas/New Years and had weeks prior locked down a different cat sitter, but a day before our vacation the other cat sitter came down with Covid and could not provide their services. I was extremely stressed trying to find a new sitter at this time of year on such short notice, but Kas was graciously able to watch our cat the entire time we were away. I can't recommend her services enough!
