What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

I enjoy meeting pet parents and developing trusting relationships. My favorite part is working with the kitties. I love learning about their personalities so I can tailor the sitting to meet their needs. The best part is when I can gain their trust so they feel comfortable to interact when I visit.

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

I have one kitty named Oreo. He is a handsome tuxedo boy with the cutest mustache. He is very much my baby and might even be a little bit spoiled. He loves to rub on my leg when I'm preparing his food. His favorite things are treats, being brushed and sleeping all day.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

I take it very slowly and allow the kitty to decide if they want to interact. Once I confirm they are safe and accounted for, I give them space and hope they will be curious enough to come out. If not, I talk softly to them reading their cues to see if they are receptive. If not, I back off and and let them be in their safe place. With some kitties it takes a lot of patience and baby steps until you can hopefully earn their trust.

Laura is a wonderful cat sitter! My shy cat did not hide from her because she slowly introduced herself to him and respected his space. By the end of the two weeks he was letting her pet him. My cat had some medical and behavioral issues during to sit. Laura was very patient and never complained or got upset even though she had to clean up many messes. She worked with me via messages to try to find solutions for my cat’s anxiety. She sent detailed reports and photos after every visit. She was very thorough about following the care instructions. In my opinion, she went above and beyond my expectations. I had peace of mind that my cat was getting the best care possible while I was out of the country.

Cancellation Policy

Cat parents may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a full refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Cat parents will receive a full refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Cat parents will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the cat parent cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.
