What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

Meeting new people and hanging out with new feline friends is the best job ever! The thing I enjoy MOST is being able to offer my clients peace-of-mind while they are away as well as making the time as comfortable and stress-free for the kitty(s). Sidenote: I became a Meowtel sitter after using the service. It was such a game changer—a totally different experience than having a friend or family member help out. I went to Europe for 9 days and never looked back. My sitter updated me every day and it was so nice to know everything was fine and the kitties were having a wonderful time, too!

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

*Roy* is an 11 year old Siamese who is now living his best life with my youngest daughter at college. *Izzy* is a 6 year old orange cat that moved in with me when my oldest daughter moved to Europe. *Willow* was a newborn kitten that I bottle-fed from birth. She is a 4 year old buff-colored tabby that is extremely smart and funny and loves to play fetch. You can see them all in the photos I posted. 🥰

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?

The first time I used Meowtel as a client, I was looking to connect with a cat sitter who I felt comfortable giving the key to my home and watching my 3 cats for over a week while I was out of the country. I also wanted to find a sitter who I could use again in the future without hesitation. All Meowtel sitters are highly qualified and insured, but if it’s important for you to “click” with a sitter (like it was for me), you should definitely reach out and ask questions—about them, their cat-sitting experience, or anything else that’s important to you. I think you will find that their answers—and even their response time—will give you a good idea if they are a purrfect match for you!

Are you usually available during holidays?

I am usually available to cat sit during the holidays. I tend to plan my personal travel during less busy times when fares are lower.

What is your favorite cat toy?

We had to leave for a week and some change and the outer band storms that came from Hurricane Helene hit our area earlier on in the visit and our kitty gets scared. Judy made sure our cat was not stressed and gave her he most comfort she needed while we were gone. She kept telling us not to worry as our kitty began to calm down and adjust. Judi is and always will be our go too! Our cat and her have really bonded and you can tell there is nothing but love!

Our regular sitter was busy, so Judi agreed to help us out. She came for a meet and greet prepared and took notes. While we were gone, she arrived everyday at the time she promised and let us know everything that was happening with pictures and texts. She took excellent care of our sweet kitties and had no trouble giving medicine. We really felt so secure in her abilities. She went above and beyond even leaving a little note on our return.

Judi did an absolute wonderful job with our cat! She took time to play with her, snuggle her and even got her to fall asleep 🤣. She was so thorough with her updates. Made sure the cat had fresh food and freshwater everyday! Even wrote me a sweet Mother's Day note from my cat to me and it was very very sweet! Judi is very knowledgeable with cats as she has shared with me that she use to work and volunteer at veterinary hospitals and shelters! She was such a success and I can't wait for her to come next time!

Cancellation Policy

Customers may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a 100% refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Customers will receive a 100% refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Customers will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the customer cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.

The Meowtel Promise & Satisfaction Guarantee

We are proud to provide each of our independently-contracted Meowtel cat sitters with the full benefits of our Meowtel Promise on eligible reservations. For reservations where each visit is at or above $20 and paid for through Meowtel, your cat(s) will automatically be covered under our insurance policy in the event that things don't go as planned.

If you are not fully satisfied with your sitter after the Meet & Greet or during the reservation, please call 1-844-636-9835 so we can help you re-book with a new sitter to ensure we can deliver on our purrfect hospitality promise.
