I had originally arranged for one month of care, as I needed to be in California to help support a loved one undergoing very serious cancer treatment. What was planned as a month unexpectedly extended, and I ultimately needed to remain away for an additional six weeks. August graciously adjusted and continued his stay without hesitation. During an already stressful and emotional time, his flexibility and steadiness meant more to me than I can adequately express. From the very beginning, he demonstrated professionalism, warmth, and genuine attentiveness. He sent photographs or short videos daily, often with thoughtful comments to accompany them. It was immediately clear that August understands the loving relationship between humans and their whiskered ones and cared for Evie as if she were his own. He even brought several puzzles for her to enjoy and shared creative ideas for keeping cats mentally stimulated and active. His depth of knowledge and experience were evident, and it is clear he brings not only kindness but real expertise to his work. He was reliable, communicative, and thoughtful in every detail. I felt consistently reassured knowing my cat was not only being fed and monitored, but also comforted and engaged. That peace of mind — especially while I was focused on supporting a critically ill loved one — was priceless. What stood out most was his kindness and calm presence. Animals sense that — and so do their humans. I returned home to a content, well-cared-for cat and a home that reflected his respect and responsibility.

One of my kitties got sick right before I went out of town, the other is a gremlin that will make herself sick by eating anything she isn't supposed to and needs all the attention in the world. August provided great, thorough updates that put my mind at ease - someone was paying attention to all the right things when I couldn't be. On top of that, they take great photos and are very responsive. Cannot recommend highly enough!

SO highly recommended! August took incredible care of our two cats while we were away, and went above and beyond in every way. They kept us consistently updated with notes and photos, and paid close attention to both our boys’ routines and needs - especially one of our boys, Pesto, who has ongoing issues with constipation. Not only did they track Pesto's BMs (truly heroic, lol), they also came up with smart, proactive solutions to help things along when he got backed up. Their attention to detail, kindness, and communication made us feel so at ease the entire time we were gone. Would absolutely book with August again. Five stars isn’t enough.

August is amazing! We have three cats, two of whom are incredibly shy. One of those two rarely warms to anyone new unless they've spent ample time with that person and I'm our presence. August managed to give our super shy kitty beds every single day we were away. All three kitties were super calm and happy when we returned. He is truly a cat whisperer.

August was an absolute GEM-- both as a cat sitter and a human being! It is tough trusting someone enough to not only bring them into your home, but to entrust them with caring for one's feline family. Yuri, our senior kitty, who is generally pretty social, was absolutely enamored with August from the start. August was able to pick Yuri up and cuddle him, which is an honor only bestowed upon my husband and me. So, that is saying a lot! As a sitter, August was timely, communicative, and engaging. Yuri was obviously well cared for while we were gone. August sent plenty of photos and videos as we requested (My favorite was of August picking Yuri up and cuddling him! Yuri looked so content!). Yuri got his supplements and plenty of play time. We are already talking about having August return for service within the next few months. Which I think Yuri is VERY excited about because I am 100% sure he misses August!

August came through in a clutch when my cat unfortunately did not mesh well with the original sitter (and I was already out if the country!). They were - luckily - available; confirmed the job quickly and set up a meeting with the original Catsitter to transfer my keys. august was a lifesaver for my ten day vacation abroad! my cats had never been without family for more than 2 days and august helped all of us cope by giving timely updates (for me) and checking in and playing with the cats every day. both my cats can be shy but i could tell they warmed up to august quickly from the photos- they loved sitting on the couch together and getting pets! aside from that, august went above and beyond to help adjust my security camera after the cats messed it up, and also helped bring in packages that had piled up in our absence. we cant recommend them enough!! so thankful for a great first experience with a catsitter :)

Kara was very sweet and super considerate with Whiskey. The first day she met her she gave her treats and had no probables coming before the reservation to meet her. She texted updates every day she was with her and gave me videos and pics to go with it. She’s great.

Kara was great! Reliable. Communicative.. My shy cat who never comes out for anyone even warmed up to her.. She went above and beyond to keep my cats entertained, even bringing her own toys and turning on videos for them, which they now love!  What a relief to have found her!!
