What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
Meeting all the different kitties, getting to know them & learn about their quirks. Each cat I’ve met are all so different & I enjoy the moments spent with them & the fun memories we make! I love when they unexpectedly do something funny (having sudden fast & furious zoomies/drop, roll & flop their bellies upward while attempting to “catch the air”, etc) or when they come to trust me & gently nudge my legs/hands. ☺️
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
Earl Grey, Lipton, Pukka and Numi! My three sweet boys - two are tabby kitties & the third is a Ragdoll mix. One girl that’s a Tuxedo.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?
If you feel hesitant about the initial meet & greet, don’t hesitate to message for any questions you may have or even request to have a phone meeting first! It’s important that you feel comfortable & have a peace of mind when you are away.
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
Making sure to go over the routine step by step & asking any additional questions about the kitty or other things I notice during our meet & greet. (Lights on or off, windows, Fan/AC/heater, if plants need to be watered, etc) I message my new & repeating clients a few days beforehand or even on the day of the visit to update them on my ETA.
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
1) Keep the keys & phone on me if I need to help grab a package or takeout the trash. 2) Carefully enter the front door. If the owner has mentioned their kitty hovers in front of the door or is an escape artist I make sure to block the door with my body as I come in. 3) Double checking with the owners whether they want to leave certain windows open or shut during or after my visits. 4) Making sure to reconfirm the door lock is engaged correctly when leaving. 5) Seeing the kitty in person to say goodbye & noting their demeanor/physical being for any changes during the following visit.
Are you usually available during holidays?
Yes! I’m always here for the Holidays, if you see my calendar is closed off please feel free to send me a message to double check. I am usually able to accommodate.
What is your favorite cat toy?
Most definitely the Fleece string toy! You can twirl it about, make really interesting shapes & even adjust the tempo at which you move it to attract your kitty’s hunting instincts. It’s especially fun when the kitty is into it, we both get a great workout in. 🤣
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I will sit nearby to see if they’ll come up to smell or greet me. If they run immediately when I arrive I make sure to give them enough space & move through my routine while speaking to them or asking them questions about their day. Usually when a shy kitty sees that I’m not hovering about them they take note that I’m not pressuring them & will start to feel comfortable as the visit progresses.

Tiffany is truly amazing! She cared for my four kitties while I was out of town, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From the very beginning, she was warm, attentive, and incredibly thorough. My cats all have such different personalities — from my cautious, shy one to my energetic little troublemakers — and she handled each of them with so much patience and love. She sent thoughtful updates, pictures, and reassurance every single day, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. Even when my cats had a few unexpected tummy issues, she went above and beyond to make sure they were comfortable and cared for. I could tell she treated them with the same gentleness and attention she would give her own pets. When I came home, it was clear the kitties felt safe and well-loved the entire time. A couple of them even cuddled with her, which says everything about how wonderful she is! I’m incredibly grateful for her dedication, kindness, and the genuine care she showed my fur babies. Easy to work with, great communicator, sends lots of photos and info about the day to day condition of your pets, and genuinely loves kitties. One of my cats is fine with everyone, the other cat always runs away from strangers, but after a few days, she got my scaredy cat to come out and play which was impressive.

Tiffany was amazing! I needed a last minute sitter the day before leaving the country for a week and she was immediately responsive and did an amazing job! She asked questions I wouldn't have thought of, sent me adorable updates with lots of pictures and videos, and made sure my ragdoll cat who needs lots of attention was purrfectly happy for an entire week! My husband and I have worked with so many wonderful cat sitters from Manhattan to LA over the past few years, and Tiffany is, without question, the best BY FAR. She is such a cat person, and instantly connected with our cat, Seph. I am someone who definitely gets anxious leaving Seph behind while we travel, but the peace of mind Tiffany brought me was legitimately unparalleled, and I wasn’t anxious in the slightest over the five days we were gone. There was never a moment when we we were worried about Seph or doubtful that she wasn’t getting taken care of in a way that we consider above and beyond. Tiffany is extremely kind, personable, thoughtful, and the perfect level of communicative. At one point while we were gone, someone left a discarded empty box outside our apartment door, and Tiffany took a picture of it and asked if we wanted her to throw it away - the little things like that just made all the difference in the world. I cannot recommend her more emphatically, and am so excited to work with her again in the future!

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Los Angeles cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $34.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.

We loved Tiffany! She was great during the meet and greet, and asked us questions that we wouldn’t have thought to bring up otherwise. We asked for pictures and videos during each visit, and she went above and beyond! She even brought special treats for our kitties to try, and of course asked us first. She also picked up our packages and mail, sending us pictures of what arrived, and set up a cat water fountain that arrived after we had already left town. We’ll definitely be using her again!

Tiffany is by far the best cat sitter to ever step foot into our home. And the cats agree! They love love love her. Tiffany is a very unique individual, who impressed me from the moment I met her. During our meet and greet, she asked questions that no other sitter has even thought of asking such as “do the cats like to sit at any particular window and should she leave it open after her visit.” Who would’ve thought right! But she was totally concerned about their welfare, which is what ever cat owner would like. Everyday she visited the house, she sent multiple pictures and videos of the cats doing all sorts of silly and fun things. She and the cats bonded very quickly over these activities, and I think I even became a little jealous at times. She went as far as to bring her own treats for the cats, which they thoroughly enjoyed. And I would also like to say that they’re now a little spoiled as a result. Beyond the cats, Tiffany did other odd jobs around the house such as bringing in the mail and emptying the trash and those were totally complimentary. Again, I was impressed. I highly recommend Tiffany as a cat sitter. I can’t imagine my cats being with anyone else. My only hope is that she’s always available when we call on her for support.

The cats and I really LOVE Tiffany. She's very communicative and punctual. She remembers tiny little details about our two cats and asks after them even when she isn't actively sitting for us. One of our cats is very friendly, but the other is quite shy. Tiffany is able to connect with the shy one and that's a real relief when we are away. We feel like our kitties are in great hands with Tiffany when we are away, which is the best you can hope for!
