I'm Daniella

Cat Sitting in Los Angeles, CA

I am Dani- I am also a cat mom to 3 cats (2 of whom are special needs), and two special needs 🪽🐈🌈. I also volunteered at a cat shelter on the East Coast for years before moving to LA in 2021.

Thanks to my own kitties-I have experience with the following kitty medical conditions: CKD, amputations, adenocarcinoma, osteoscaroma, thymoma, HCM/heart murmurs, CH (kitty cerebral palsy).

I have long-time experience with pills, oral chemo, liquid meds, transdermal meds, antibiotics, specialty food, subQ fluids/injections, supplements, chemotherapy, internal medicine, cleaning up any and every kind of fluid. I have also administered insulin to diabetic cats as well (Lantus and direct syringe). I can also handle 'spicy' cats (using anti-bite gloves and cat wrap if needed).

When I am watching your baby/babies: they will have my undivided attention. They will be fed, medicated if needed, litter changed, and then we will hang out and play❤️ you will also get lots of pictures and video, as well as a daily report/log...

I'm a hyper-vigilant cat momma, so if I notice anything out of the ordinary, you will know immediately.

I also have a background in theater so your cats will be entertained!

Please ask me about weekday mornings & weekday overnights-that is a possibility case by case!
By day, I am a full-time geriatric social worker working traditional hours (though I end a bit early on Friday afternoons around 3:30pm). The best way to describe my experience is tell you about the clowder:

Eva (2011-2026): my first cat, the very first pet I got after moving out post-college. She was a 14 year old queen. Eva got injection-related osteosarcoma (bone cancer) in 2017 and required an amputation, 5 rounds of IV, chemo, 1.5 years of maintenance chemo (administered by me at home). Eva was officially discharged from oncology in 2020 and has had no health problems since-not even a dental. The beginnings of CKD started winter 2025; she was on a great regimen and her levels went back down after intervention. She suddenly stopped eating 4/2026: a malignant mass in her chest and fluid in her lungs was discovered. Eva got her angel wings on 4/8/2026. My powder puff angel familiar.

Misty: dilute calico kitten born Jan 2026. Adopted to honor Eva’s memory. She is a Velcro cat and screams frequently for attention.

Severus (2014-present): my long-haired Maine Coon mix boy. Not the brightest crayon in the box, but he is a sweet lad. He was diagnosed with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM-heart murmur) related to his breed. He takes a small heart pill every day-never showed symptoms and has 'no evidence of the disease' thanks to Atenolol. Benign Thymoma in his chest was discovered during a routine ECHO. Severus underwent chest surgery 12/2025 to remove the mass, and he's back to his chaotic self.

Gloria (2014-2024): my long-haired calico diva. My second soul cat. The biggest personality of any cat ever. Super friendly and cuddly. Rescued from an NJ shelter after being thrown from a car, then rescued by me in Jan 2018. Gloria was diagnosed with mammary adenocarcinoma Feb 2024: received a mastectomy and 6 rounds of chemo. Baby girl beat cancer June 2024. She deteriorated quickly afterwards due to sudden onset of CKD-she received lots of supplements, meds (both liquid and pill form), and IV treatment. After multiple hospitalizations summer/fall 2024, Gloria's body started failing and she had to be released 10/9/2024. I honor her memory by taking care of other kitties.

Trixie (2024-present: she is a dilute calico kitten with a mild form of CH. She is a little wobbly imp. She is Gloria's successor.

Learn More About Daniella

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

Cat mom since 2011, shelter volunteer from 2015-2017. I have been cat sitting since 2018-a co worker needed someone to watch her insulin dependent kitty and I volunteered. I always volunteer to be the office pet sitter for co workers. Since moving to LA in 2021-I have one consistent co worker cat client in the Valley-she is a shy but satisfied customer. I have also watch my cat nieces in the past.

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

I love meeting all the new babies and seeing their personalities come out as they warm up to the new stranger in the home. I love every cat I have ever met.

Are you usually available during holidays?

I am usually available most holidays-I only typically do holiday travel 12/22-12/25. I am available Easter/Memorial Day/Labor Day/Jewish Holidays/New Years.

What is your favorite cat toy?

The best cat toy came from Daiso-it is a fabric snake on a stick-the head has bells inside and jangles. The other end also has a ribbon. My cats carry 'snake toy' around the house like a hunting trophy.

Dani is wonderful! I have a senior diabetic kitty and she was suoer experienced and knowledgeable about special needs cats. We did a thorough walkthrough and she took lots of notes. Excellent communication and very trustworthy. She also sent photos of my kitty, very sweet! I’m so happy to find someone who I feel 100% comfortable with. I will absolutely use Dani again in the future!

Daniella recently took care of Hildi while we were away on a 10 day trip, the longest we had left our senior lady in many years. Daniella helped to make Hildi so comfortable and happy while we were gone, providing many pats, snuggles, and Churus and keeping us updated the whole time. Cannot recommend her highly enough!

Daniella did such an amazing job with my shy, reserved kitty! She got her purring every single visit, and went above and beyond to bond with her and make her feel comfortable and cared for while I was away. She sent pictures at each visit and provided such peace of mind with her updates. She's a true cat charmer and I would highly recommend her!

Daniella has taken care of my cat Hildi multiple times now, and each time has gone above and beyond to make sure Hildi is comfortable while we are away. Daniella always messages when she is on her way and soon after sends pictures of Hildi rolling around to get belly pets, sitting on her lap, getting Churu treats, and generally being happy in our absence. It's such a relief to have someone checking in who is so caring and thoughtful, and who has really developed a special bond with our cat. Daniella is truly the best!

Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

If it doesn't feel like a purrfect fit after a Meet & Greet or during a reservation, our support team is here to help at 1-844-Meowtel (1-844-636-9835). We'll take time to understand what happened and help you consider next steps, which could include help with a new reservation.

Los Angeles cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $36.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.

Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.

Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.

We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.

Each visit typically includes: feeding, refreshing water bowls, litter box scooping, tidying up, medications, updates with photos, lots of playtime, and any special requests. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet!
