I was nervous about leaving my 14 year old momma’s boy home alone with a sitter for the first time. I am beyond grateful that i found Melanie to watch him! I felt like she really payed attention to him and his needs and gave me amazing updates and advice that made it a relief to leave him in the hands of someone who actually cared about him. If I ever have to leave him alone again, I won’t have to worry about where to look!

I have a lot of anxiety about leaving my cats behind, especially since my older one has both diabetes and kidney disease. I was nervous about leaving them for a week after nearly a year of working from home, but they were chill and happy when I got home whereas they can normally be quite anxious and destructive if I leave. I have a hyperactive kitten and a much older cat with complicated food and water instructions (rejects anything except fresh water, sensitive stomach, etc.), but they seemed great and relaxed when I got home. The kitten even came out of hiding to play. Melanie sent daily updates and also suggest some food to try that would help my sensitive stomach senior cat.

Where do I even begin? If I could give Melanie more than 5 stars I would. I'm a first time Meowtel user, and was so nervous to use a service I found online! However, I knew I had found my go-to sitter when my super-skittish kitty Binx let her pet him on the first visit (he generally takes 3-4 days to warm up to people). To say she's a cat whisperer is not hyperbole. She is so knowledgeable about cats' behavior, personalities, quirks, products... even our super complex litter box! Melanie went above and beyond in every way possible! My cats love her and have already asked when I plan to travel again, so they can have more visits with their new friend :)

She and I talked over an hour, she came with a whole list of tips, tricks, and suggestions, and recommended and book and a certain type of treat. We couldn’t have been more pleased with Melanie, her professional nature, and clear experience with cats. Our vacation was all the more relaxing knowing that Ophelia was in good hands while we were gone. We’ll certainly be reaching out to Melanie again the next time we’re out of town.

Melanie was fabulous last time and even more dedicated and loving this time. Albie and Leo were well taken care of while we were gone for ten days. We received photos and reports everyday, and she stayed longer to assure the kitties that she was a friend, not a stranger. A five star experience!

Melanie is wonderful. She is extremely conscientious and very communicative, so I always know how my cat is doing in her care. I'm a big worrier, but because Melanie updates me throughout the visit I never have any doubt my cat is in good hands. Melanie is an angel for our 3 fur babies Melanie looked after our 3 babies so well for the week we were away. After relying on friends for years, (where you were never really sure how often they dropped in or how well they were able to follow instructions), this was our first worry free vacation in years. She fed them according to our instructions, cleaned their litter boxes every day (and any puke!), put calming YouTube cat videos on for them :), she played with them, and sent us videos and pictures with updates of everything each day. If you are ever thinking of using a cat sitter I cannot recommend Melanie enough (we now refer to her as Aunty Mel) and have already planned to book her in a couple of months . At last we have found a trustworthy, loving and professional sitter for Albie & Leo! Melanie spent so much time with my shy kitties on the first day that she was able to send me some photos of Albie & Leo out of their hiding place. She sat next to them, talked to them, sang to them and made sure that they were well fed, their litter boxes cleaned and their bowls full of fresh water and food. Moreover, she is full of helpful ideas and information to keep my kitties healthier and happier in the future. In short, this lady truly loves cats! And I love her for that! Melanie is a dream sitter. Honestly. I couldn't ask for one single thing more. Its as if I was there, but better. She not only communicated everything she did and sent picture updates of my cat, she was attentive to the house and showing me things that I might be concerned with. Even when my cat puked and ruined the bed! She cleaned and returned everything to the way it was. My sister doesn't even do that! Can't express enough gratitude. Melanie was the perfect cat sitter for Mambrú. Loving, caring, meticulous and highly responsible. Mambrú was sick and she administered three different medications efficiently while I was away. The communication was perfect, I got text and videos every day. I really felt at ease leaving Mambrú with Melanie. I actually booked her again! Highly recommended.
