As a pet sitter, I provide my charges reliable care, love & attention, & a clean, safe environment. As a pet parent myself, I understand how worrying & stressful being apart from your kitties can be, so communicate at every visit with updates, pictures &/or videos. Besides my own fur babies, I often care for my neighbors’ multiple cats as well as the outdoor community cats who have chosen us.
I was previously employed in real estate & banking but am now mostly retired, so have open availability including weekends & holidays. However, I am unable to accommodate overnight visits. If you need longer visits or have specific needs or concerns, please let me know. I am happy to work with you to ensure your pet is cared for.

I have 3 cats: Harley (11 y.o.) black DSH, Joker (10 y.o.) Tuxedo and Mad Max, who I found stumbling & injured in the street in June 2024 at the tender age of 4-5 weeks. He’s a miniature Tuxedo at just over 7 lbs now.
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
I like to meet new cat parents in their homes & talk to them to learn all their & their kitties needs, ask questions to familiarize myself with their normal routines, interactions & activities. I also get to know where supplies are kept including cleaning & garbage disposal methods. If medication or treatment is needed, I prefer to make an appointment when the parent is performing this task so that I can do things the same way as much as possible so there is less stress & confusion for the cat(s). I take notes on all the information & also make sure I have the best contact information for parents, their usual vets & emergency vets & contacts.
Are you usually available during holidays?
I am currently self employed with a flexible schedule, so normally have open availability including all holidays, weekends & week days.

I’m so thankful I found Elizabeth to watch my two gals! First and foremost, she was quick to book my relatively last minute request. She took notes and asked questions at our meet and greet. Her updates included all status updates on things like the litterbox, auto feeder updates, water fountain, wet food, etc. As well as lots of sweet video updates of how their visits were. I could tell how happy my cats were, not only by seeing them in her video updates but, listening to how she respected both of my cats’ different boundaries (one’s a bit sassier and one’s a bit more skittish) made me feel so at ease as a helicopter pet parent. I was out of the country for a week and never had to worry about them. On top of that, she watered my many patio plants, was super communicative on where mail/packages/etc ended up, and took trash/recycle out! Last, but not least, she left a very kind “Thank You” note where I could tell that my cats were taken very well care of with how she spoke of each of them. I hope I never have to find a different cat sitter! Thank you, Elizabeth!!

We had such a wonderful experience! I received so many photos and updates, which made me feel completely at ease while we were away. My cat is usually extremely shy and almost never comes out for people she doesn’t know, so I was honestly amazed to see her coming out regularly, playing with her sitter, and even letting her pet her! That says a lot, because she is normally very scared of strangers. She also gets very stressed when we’re away for several days and sometimes acts out because of it, but this time she didn’t do anything like that at all. She seemed calm, comfortable, and clearly really liked the person taking care of her. I also thought it was incredibly sweet that our sitter left us a little card saying what a wonderful cat she is and that she could tell how much she missed us. We could definitely tell too when we got home! Such a thoughtful little touch. I’m so happy with the care she received and would absolutely book with her again. ❤️

Elizabeth was awesome with my cats. Most of mine are a bit skittish with new people and hide, but she was patient with them, let them have their space and let them approach her when they were ready. Misty, my oldest that needed daily meds and fluids 2-3 a week, was taken care of very well. Elizabeth gave me lots of updates during the twice-a-day visits. She was extremely professional and very excited and lovely with my cats. She did an amazing job with them. I'm so glad I found a great pet sitter. Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Los Angeles cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $36.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.

Elizabeth is FANTASTIC and I've already booked her for my next trip out of town. She is warm and polite, but most importantly, she was great with my babies! She was so patient and sweet with my two scaredy cats, and by the end of the reservation one of them was LOVING attention from her! My boyfriend joked (but also not joking!!) that Elizabeth was my cat's first new friend in years. I also really appreciated the update photos and videos. We trusted Elizabeth to care for our two boys while we were on a short trip and she was amazing! She was always punctual and attentive with each visit, and sent detailed updates: photos, videos, and notes for each kitty that we enjoyed reviewing! Both of our boys are unaccustomed to changes in their routine and have their own unique quirks. We left instructions for both of them, but suspected they would not cooperate or behave as expected with a new sitter. Elizabeth faithfully followed those instructions, but she let us know when they weren't eating as expected, and she easily adapted to the back-up feeding plan we proposed. One of our kitties is very timid around strangers but warmed up to Elizabeth on just her second visit, playing and snuggling with her, which is record time for him. The other kitty is a fussy eater but Elizabeth had no trouble keeping tabs on each of them and reporting how they were doing. As a side note, we only had expectations for our kitties to be cared for. But Elizabeth went above and beyond, and was so respectful with our home that we felt that our place looked even neater than before we left. We will definitely hope to book Elizabeth the next time we need a sitter!

Elizabeth was absolutely wonderful. Right off the bat at the meet and greet, my cats took to her and didn't run and hide. She came very prepared with notebook and pen to jot down notes about the sit as well as great questions. She took AMAZING care of my two spoiled cats. Spending time and effort with them...playing with them and giving the one cat ear medication. I cannot sing enough praises about Elizabeth. The amount of photos and video updates made me feel so good about leaving my cats in her care. Elizabeth is one of the kindest and most caring people I’ve ever met. She’s funny and easy to talk to and I was so happy knowing she’d be with my boys after having the pleasure of meeting her during our meet and greet. She sent the most thoughtful updates with photos and videos and updates on how each of the boys were doing individually as well as interactions together. She kept me updated on the status of their food and litter and was also so kind in getting my mail and keeping the litter area tidy as well as getting the trash for me! She also brought some toys over for the boys and left them a little gift when she noticed how well they took to them! It can be hard to find a sitter, especially during the holidays and I feel so lucky that Elizabeth was available. I could tell how happy and comfortable my boys were with her and even my shy boy Hiro was playful and cuddly! I went to visit family for three and a half weeks across the country. Any pet owner knows how hard it is to be away from your babies for so long. I came back to happy, healthy, not-at-all stressed kitties and an apartment that looks just as I left it.
