What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

I have cat sat for friends and family throughout the years. Ive stepped out of corporate America and would love to take care of your kitties. I bring 50yrs of cat experience. I will treat your kitties with love as if they were my own. You should be able to go on your trip and know I’m taking great care of them.

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

Getting to know the different personalities! Providing 100% confidence with my clients that their furry family members will get 150% of my attention while they are away. Knowing their kitties are safe and being looked after so they can enjoy their time away!

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

Yes, I have two tabby’s. They are sisters from the same litter. Molly and Lily! I went for Lily and came home with two! They are so precious and so different. They make me laugh and talk outloud. Molly is much more outgoing and has a lot to say especially when she wants her belly rubs. When I get home each day, I have to sit on the floor and rub her belly. Lily is the opposite. She is slower to trust and has her places to hide. Watching the two of them play, sleep and communicate with each other is a hoot!

What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?

I would like to do a home visit at least a week prior to needed services. Last minute is also okay. I take this time to learn about you and your fur babies. I will complete a questionnaire for each kitty. It’s the time for you to show me favorite toys, food, litter boxes.

How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?

I always make sure any alarm systems have been set prior to leaving and locking the door. I will always have eyes on your kitties before my visit is over. I will make sure if there are any signs of a cat party…..to let you know! You know what they say! ☺️. Even for those who are a bit shy, I have all the patience in the world. 😊

Are you usually available during holidays?

Yes, I’m available during all major holidays. There is no kitty that I won’t care for!! They are all special and unique.

What is your favorite cat toy?

Probably the same as others, laser pointer, long feathers on a string, cat nip is my favorite go to when they need a distraction. I sprinkle on their cat scratcher and they go nuts!!

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

I’m a fairly quiet person. So I initially sit on the floor at their level and let them sniff away. Treats are a great way to build that trust. Gently and soothing communication.

I was very fearful leaving my cat, Emily, for 6 weeks but had no other option other than hiring a pet sitter to take care of her. My fears were alleviated very quickly. Susie did a wonderful job with Emily and sent texts with pictures after every visit. It was clear she took time to visit with Emily and form a bond with her. I will definitely ask Susie to take care of Emily in the future. I highly recommmend her.

Susie was AWESOME. This was my first time using Meowtel and I admit that inviting a stranger from the internet into my home made me a little nervous. Susie came by for the Meet and Greet and I immediately felt at ease. She was so open, friendly, and kind. As we were sitting on my couch discussing the visits, one of my cats (who is typically shy) came up and sat between us, fully relaxed. Susie was extremely communicative throughout my trip, took great photos of my girls, and was so kind to me in general. When I got home, I noticed she had even moved one of their dishes to my cats’ cozy spot so they’d feel more comfortable eating. 10 out of 10, highly recommend Susie to take care of your fur babies.

Cancellation Policy

Customers may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a 100% refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Customers will receive a 100% refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Customers will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the customer cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.

We are proud to provide each of our independently-contracted Meowtel cat sitters with the full benefits of our Meowtel Promise on eligible reservations. For reservations where each visit is at or above $20 and paid for through Meowtel, your cat(s) will automatically be covered under our insurance policy in the event that things don't go as planned.

If you are not fully satisfied with your sitter after the Meet & Greet or during the reservation, please call 1-844-636-9835 so we can help you re-book with a new sitter to ensure we can deliver on our purrfect hospitality promise.
