There’s this misco... Ever since I was 10 years old, I have been a cat parent or fostered kittens. My family and I have taken care of 6 family cats during my lifetime and I personally fostered countless kittens and feral cats. I have two cats, Lincoln and Bonsai, who I adopted and raised from a stray kittens to human loving pets. I know how to administer medicine and bottle fed kittens from raising my two boys.
There’s this misconception that cats are cold and distant. I beg to differ. I believe cats process stimuli and their environment much differently than dogs and, when cared well, they can be just as warm and friendly as their canine counterparts. My two cats are shining example since they have been known to welcome human visitors and extremely cuddly, because I want to provide them and any cat a safe haven for them to flourish.

I have two cats who I adopted when they were only 2 months old. Their names are Lincoln and Bonsai.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?
The best cat sitter are the ones who can sense and respect different cat personalities. Some cats are bold and curious and will approach you right off the bat. Some cats are afraid and will hide from you. If a cat is afraid, a good cat sitter will respect their boundaries and let a cat approach them in their own pace. After all, a cat sitter’s primary role is to make sure a cat feels safe and taken care of, not demand hugs.
Are you usually available during holidays?
I am available to work holidays if in town. I know getting an automatic feeder is not within everyone’s budget and many cats require daily medicine. These can limit an owner’s availability to go out on vacation. That’s why I’m more than happy to take care of a person’s cat if needed.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Los Angeles cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $34.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
