What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

My experience with cat sitting is positive and enjoy spending quality time with the cats. It is fun taking lot of photos of cats and giving updates to the parents so that they are relieved their cat(s) is doing well. I have been pet sitting for 5 years and cat sitting for Meowtel for one year.

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

I enjoy getting to know each of the kitties’ personalities and learning more about their interests. It is also rewarding when the cats who are shy or hesitant at first become affectionate and look forward to the visits!

Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?

There was a shy kitty that I was cat sitting for and this kitty only had interest in the food/treats in the beginning of the reservation. During the reservation, I continued to provide food/treats and focused on letting him become more comfortable by sniffing me. Towards the end, the kitty allowed for me to brush him and ended up purring next to me. That was the largest amount of progress I have witnessed in a short amount of time with a shy kitty.

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

Yes, I do have kitties of my own. Their names are Lucky, Pretty, and Oreo. The exciting part is that they all have unique and different personalities! It also makes it easier for me to learn how to engage with a variety of cats.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?

Ask if the sitter has cats of their own and/or how much experience they have with taking care of other animals (bonus points if it is for cats 🐱 ).

Are you usually available during holidays?

Yes I am available during holidays. I am scheduled to be onsite for work during the holidays. My schedule during the holidays limited so I recommend booking early!

What is your favorite cat toy?

The Cat Dancer, Cat Charmer toy is my favorite toy to use because it encourages cats to be more active.

Katie is a very detail oriented and thorough cat sitter! Not only did she play and love on my cat, she also sent pictures of the litter, food/water bowl, and any packages I had delivered. She made me feel very at ease while I was away. Will definitely be using her services again! :)

She was responsive and punctual, and asked a lot of great questions during our initial meet and greet (we are first time cat owners and this was our first time using a sitter so I appreciated that she thought of things I hadn’t). Cancellation Policy

Customers may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a 100% refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Customers will receive a 100% refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Customers will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the customer cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.

For reservations where each visit is at or above $20 and paid for through Meowtel, your cat(s) will automatically be covered under our insurance policy in the event that things don't go as planned.
