Cats are extraordinary creatures! From the day I was born, Henry, our family cat took a liking to me and that pretty much sealed my fate as a cat lover. I grew up with cats in my family home and then had my own cat, Mollie, in my early adult life. When I moved to San Diego a little over nine years ago, it was to begin a graduate program, and I decided it would be unfair to welcome a new furbaby into my life if I could not give it all the love and attention it deserved. For that reason, taking care of others' cats on the side has been my way of staying connected to felines while simultaneously being able to help out their human companions...

What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?

I enjoy meeting people (and cats, of course!) and I pride myself on being a conscientious person who listens and communicates well. When working with a new client, I always enjoy the Meet & Greet and in addition to taking mental note of where food and litter are kept (i.e. the practical things), I also always make sure that I am able to locate a cat carrier and work with the client to file the vet release form. Emergencies of that kind are rare, but ensuring that these details are sorted before I begin to work with a new cat parent gives us both peace of mind.

Are you usually available during holidays?

I am typically available holidays and keep my calendar regularly updated.

What is your favorite cat toy?

While of course each cat has their favorite toy, in general, I find that *most* cats love chasing the red dot out of a laser pointer! I love the look on cats' faces when the lose track of the dot for a moment, and then get super excited again when it comes back!

Cancellation Policy

Customers may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a 100% refund and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Customers will receive a 100% refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Customers will receive a 50% refund and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the customer cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.

We are proud to provide each of our independently-contracted Meowtel cat sitters with the full benefits of our Meowtel Promise on eligible reservations. For reservations where each visit is at or above $20 and paid for through Meowtel, your cat(s) will automatically be covered under our insurance policy in the event that things don't go as planned.

If you are not fully satisfied with your sitter after the Meet & Greet or during the reservation, please call 1-844-636-9835 so we can help you re-book with a new sitter to ensure we can deliver on our purrfect hospitality promise.
