My name is Alexa, and I love being a part of this wonderful cat sitting community. I grew up in Maui, Hawaii with two amazing cats of my own. Both were strays found in my backyard, one was raised from a 4 week old kitten and the other one was 6 months old. While in high school, I also volunteered for the Maui Humane Society animal shelter.

For college, I went to Duke where I studied Biomedical Engineering. Missing my kitties at home, I fostered both kittens and elderly cats during my time in college. I take pride in creating a safe and nurturing environment for all the cats I have the pleasure to care for... My name is Alexa, and I love being a part of this wonderful cat sitting community. I live in the Marina, but also have a car for easy transportation. In addition to cat sitting, I am happy to help out with any other needs around the house such as watering plants or bringing in mail.

Amazing! So grateful to have found Alexa who was able to charm my shy kitty and gave me such great peace of mind. Reliable, very responsive and detail oriented. All the photo updates showed how happy and relaxed my cat was around Alexa. Alexa expertly maneuvered cleaning/chaning the litter robot and water fountain for 2 weeks while I was out, as well as daily wet food and play time. I will definitely be asking Alexa to watch over my kitty in the future!! Very happy!

Frequently Asked Questions

Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:


  • More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
  • 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
  • Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.

All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.

Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

San Francisco cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $37.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.

Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
