I have had cats throughout my entire life - from childhood, thru middle age, until now in my senior years. I am drawn to kitties, and they seem to be drawn to me as well. I think it's that "cat person" thing, and kitties are pretty intuitive as well. My last kitty, Bella, lived to the ripe old age of 21! She was my "Medicare" kitty, who I loved and cared for until the very end this past fall (2022). She had a number of medical conditions, so I am now pretty good with giving medications (in either pill or liquid form). I just recently adopted two new fur babies (Macy & Mochi) from the King County Animal Shelter and Paws Cat City. They are quite the handful, and I am loving every minute as I know they won't be little for very long! So, kitten care is also in my wheelhouse (as long as the kittens are at least 12 weeks old). I am a semi-retired professional, who worked in the healthcare industry for over 40 years. Now, I am moving more into my "fun" years as an adult swim instructor, an interior designer, a writer and a poet. As you can see, I have a number of varied and eclectic interests and callings! I would love to help care for your kitty(ies), too! I prefer visitations that are within a 10 to 12 mile radius of my home (and without having to jump on a ferry boat). If medications needed and/or if your kitty(ies) has/have additional needs/issues (e.g., small, extra feeding sessions, tendency to have tummy/litterbox issues), I do ask that a longer time allowance be reserved (at least 45 minutes) to give me the time I need for med. administration, clean-up time, etc. Same holds true if my commute time to your place takes longer than 20 minutes. I like to do a quick "Meet & Greet" beforehand so you and your kitty(ies) get a chance to check me out beforehand. There is no charge for this initial visit. I tend to have open availability, especially around holidays, and prefer longer visitations so I have a chance to get to know your kitties. I prefer at least one to two weeks advance scheduling if possible, though I do understand that emergencies sometimes occur. I look forward to meeting you and your fur babies soon!
