What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

I love cat sitting! All animals are amazing but there is just something so special about cats. I have been cat sitting for about 4 years (with many more years of pet sitting) and love every new kitty that I get to meet.

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

Getting to care for a little life and make sure the cat doesn’t feel to lonely or sad while their owner is away

Are you usually available during holidays?

Typically yes! I will take my availability off my calendar if I am not available. When I do travel, it usually isn’t on or around holidays.

What is your favorite cat toy?

Yeowww cat nip toys are the best! And a wand toy if the cat likes to play with me too😊

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

I allow every cat to interact with me at their level. I will sit patiently on the floor or a chair to see if they will approach me, sometimes it’s taken 3 days of me sitting nearby for 20min or longer! I also use a very gentle tone and try to make minimal noise while entering or moving about the home.

Mary was really great to work with! I was very nervous about leaving my two cats home for five days when I had to be out of town. But after the free consultation visit, I knew that my cats would be in good hands and that I didn't need to worry. There were a few special instructions that I provided to Mary to insure that my cats would be safe together throughout the long hours between Mary's visits and she handled them exactly as needed. Mary played with and loved on both of my kitties everyday and sent great photos and text updates after each visit. Even from hundreds of miles away, I could tell my cats were doing well and actually being cared for by someone who was looking out for their well-being and my peace of mind. I would definitely book Mary again if she is available next time I need a cat-sitter!

Cancellation Policy

Customers may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a 100% refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Customers will receive a 100% refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Customers will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the customer cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.

We are proud to provide each of our independently-contracted Meowtel cat sitters with the full benefits of our Meowtel Promise on eligible reservations. For reservations where each visit is at or above $20 and paid for through Meowtel, your cat(s) will automatically be covered under our insurance policy in the event that things don't go as planned.

If you are not fully satisfied with your sitter after the Meet & Greet or during the reservation, please call 1-844-636-9835 so we can help you re-book with a new sitter to ensure we can deliver on our purrfect hospitality promise.
