I am based in Uptown but can travel anywhere in the Chicagoland area. I have two cats of my own, Beans and Rylo, who are complete opposites. I have taken care of friend’s and family’s cats in the past so caring for various personalities is not a problem!
I am able to provide oral medication to cat who don’t mind them if needed!

I believe that a bored cat is a destructive cat. Play time and erichment is very important to me during these visits! You can expect to receive pictures, videos, and a thorough message of how the visit went.
During longer stays, I can provide basic housesitting tasks like watering your plants, pick up any packages, and anything you would like done while you are gone.
My work schedule can be very inconsistent so if a date is blocked off in my availability, message me to see if I can still drop by! Bookings that allow me to visit anytime works best for me.
I travel frequently so I know how stressful it can be to leave your cats at home! Let me take away that stress a little bit by giving your cats the same level of care you would give them! Cannot wait to meet your little one/s!

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I have two cats! Beans and Rylo! Beans was a foster fail. He was supposed to be in our care for 2 months but then that turned into a 6 months and that turned into a year. Since he has bonded with us, we felt like it was for the best for us to be his forever home! Rylo was a rescue from a shelter. We wanted Beans to have a friend so he wouldnt get so lonely. He was in shelter for a month before we adopted him. He quickly bonded with Beans and is now my Velcro cat! I cannot get up and walk around without him being by my feet.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I do not like to bother timid and anxious cats so I tend to just sit on the ground in a spot relatively close to them. I let them approach me and follow their lead. I still make sure that their litter and food and water are still taken care of.

We couldn’t be happier honestly. we got regular texts with pictures. One of our cats needed a pill and she usually takes it in her food but she was being a cat and not taking it. Jeanne Mae took the initiative to find some pill pockets in the cat drawer and gave it to her with that. She was so lovely and very responsible and responsive. Thanks again Jeanne Mae!!

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Chicago cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $29.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.

Jeanna Mae was absolutely awesome!! She made sure to send very detailed updates, asked clarifying questions if I forgot to mention something before leaving, and always included anywhere from 10-25 photos/videos per visit! We’ve never used a pet sitter other than family members and were nervous about leaving our cats for two weeks but we couldn’t have asked for a better person to watch after them! Jeanna Mae even got our shy kitty to warm up to her within only a few days :) We’ll definitely use her again for future vacations or even long weekends away.

Jeanna Mae was awesome with my sweet lil shy guy! He had a bad experience with strangers before I adopted him, so he’s always been afraid of new people he doesn’t know. But he actually came out for Jeanna Mae and hung out with her! She even got him to play. Literally could not be happier 🥹 I’m also a helicopter cat mom so I went a little overboard with leaving notes/instructions, but she got everything down and understood my crazy cat ladyness!
