What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

I have been cat sitting since I was fifteen, and have watched so many delightful little furballs. Cats are an absolute joy in my life, and I simply love being in their presence. I always try to make sure every cat feels loved and taken care of when their owners are gone, and I always make sure to give them extra special care and attention. I also used to volunteer at my local shelter to keep the kitties with cat AIDS company, since no one wanted to visit them really.

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

I have a cat named Beynish, who is orange and slightly evil, but still such a sweetie pie. I used to live with a kitty named Miso for around two years, and she was the largest tuxedo cat I have ever seen. She would frequently walk on my keyboard while I was trying to write school essays, and would often let me hold her like a teddy bear while I went to sleep. She now lives with my friend who sends me Miso photos regularly.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

With cats that are particularly timid or anxious, patience is the most important thing. My mom has a cat named Shadow that is very shy, and it took me a long time to earn her trust, but once I did, she would take naps with me after school and let me give her lots of pets. I take this same approach with nervous cats. You can never rush a cat into trusting you, it is something you have to earn. I give anxious cats lots of space, always stay low to the ground to lower my threat profile, turn away from them to make them feel less intimidated, and let them come to me when they are ready.

Cancellation Policy

Customers may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a 100% refund and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Customers will receive a 100% refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Customers will receive a 50% refund and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the customer cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.

For reservations where each visit is at or above $20 and paid for through Meowtel, your cat(s) will automatically be covered under our insurance policy in the event that things don't go as planned.

If you are not fully satisfied with your sitter after the Meet & Greet or during the reservation, please call 1-844-636-9835 so we can help you re-book with a new sitter to ensure we can deliver on our purrfect hospitality promise.
