The first Meowtel client to book me for their cat gets one free custom cat-patch of their cat! Cat Medication History: In my time cat sitting I have been asked to administer medication to the cats I am looking after. There are several different ways I have given cats their medication. The most common one is medicine from a syringe. Some of the cats I have sat for are a little anxious or nervous and to help with that they add a little kitty prozac to their wet food. Other time I will use the syringe to spritz the medicine into the cats mouth. In other cases the cats have a pill that accompany their meal. In these cases I use pill pockets and, if need be, manually pill the cat. As well, I have pet sat for cats experiencing skin issues or rashes and because of this are prescribed a topical cream. In all cases I have been successful in assuring the cats receive the medicine and attention they need. Locations: I am located in East Hollywood but offer my services to surrounding neighborhoods. About me: I am fully vaccinated for COVID-19 and will adhere to any safety precautions you wish ( i.e. masking and sanitizing before entry) I moved to East Hollywood three years ago. After quarantine I got a job at a small pet store where people were encouraged to bring their pets in. There were customers who would bring their cats in with them using travel backpacks and I became obsessed! My dad is allergic to cats so while growing up I didn't spend much time around them. So now I am making up for lost time. I do not currently own a cat but would love to someday! For now I make do with the company of my roommates cat and a handful of outside cats in my neighborhood that I like to give food to. My roommate has a tortoiseshell cat named Sansa. She isn't the most affectionate cat but definitely warmed up to me over time. She can get overstimulated easy and builds trust slowly but overtime we've become the best of friends! In my spare time I love to do embroidery of the cats I meet in various silly poses! In sixth grade I was taught to sew puppets by mom. When she was my age her mom, my grandmother, taught her how to sew puppets. Since learning how to make puppets I have moved on to sewing clothes and embroidery as well. I really enjoy trying to capture each cats personality in my embroidery. In my time cat sitting, I have sat for many different cat breeds and varying sized of cat families. With every visit, I love getting to know a cats personality because each cat is so unique! I have had experience with very friendly cats, and very shy and timid cats too. I have given cats pills before, applied prescribed ointment, and given liquid medicine to cats orally via a syringe. I am also familiar with different diet habits for cats. I have sat for cats who free feed dry food, cats who love wet food, and cats that don't. I am familiar with different vitamins or supplements for cats. Whatever the cats needs are, I am there and ready to rise to the occasion to assure excellent petsitting! My partner and I fostered a cat together earlier this year. She's a grey tabby named Jaga and she is very sweet but very shy. For the first couple of weeks she would hide underneath the bed or on the shelf in the closet. Once she got comfortable her personality began to come out more, and she would spend a lot of time playing, either with toys or by chasing her tail. My partner ended up falling for her and adopted her a month ago. She had a few health problems come up after we started the fostering process. This involved taking her to the vet a handful of times, and, let me tell you, Jaga was not a fan. It took patience but we were able to get her into her travel crate to get her to the Vet. She ended up having an ear infection so we needed to administer medication to her ears. Jaga does not like being picked up so we had to be very careful and intentional about administering the medication to her. Thankfully, her ears are fully healed now and that time is behind us!
